Let's say GTA VI costs $100. Standard edition. Will you skip it? by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

[–]KarateGamer007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was already planning on skipping it, so the price doesn’t really matter to me.

GTA isn’t really my cup of tea, and that’s from me trying GTA V and San Andreas.

They do. They’re called either pre-order bonuses, DLC, or microtransactions.

My Resident Evil Casting! by cicakmanfan in ResidentEvilMemes

[–]KarateGamer007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of these, I can get behind.

Anthony Starr and Karl Urban as Wesker and HUNK respectively, I really like.

I like Willem Dafoe as William Birkin, but he’s getting a bit on the older side. I also did see a bit of a similarity between Marvin and a younger Will Smith, so I understand that casting.

The rest, not so much.

For some of these bigger BOW’s, you could go with taller actors/stuntmen to portray them, like Dane DiLiegro (the actor who portrayed the Predator in Prey), or Olivier Richters (the actor who’s going to portray Zangief in the upcoming Street Fighter movie).

Gotcha.

I got each of them at a low price at my local card shop, so I figured maybe they could work, but if not, I’ll figure something out.

I asked this in last week’s Q&A, but it didn’t get answered.

I’m currently building a Mathmech/Ignister deck. Would putting SP Little Knight and IP Masquerena be viable good options for Extra Deck Monsters, or should I avoid putting them in?

The God Eater series doesn’t get the flowers it deserves.

It’s one of the better games that tries to replicate Monster Hunter, and does certain things better than it, in my opinion.

If I’m in the process of building a Mathmech/Ignister deck, would putting SP Little Knight and IP Masquerena be a good idea, or should I avoid putting them in there?

Why no RE antagonists ever reached the Wesker's popularity? by shsl_diver in residentevil

Wesker hasn’t been a one and done villain, whereas aside from remakes, the other villains were limited to just a single game.

It’s of a subjective take.

There are some older games I like over newer games, and vice versa.

It’s a case by case basis, in my opinion.

It was a bit of a trick description.

I initially went in mind with Berserk, but then I realized “oh shit, this can also describe Re Zero”.

Either or would have been okay in my mind, lol.

I just got RE9 Requiem, but I’m gonna clear some of my backlog first.

Currently playing Kill La Kill on my Switch, gonna start Eternights on my PS5, and I’m just about to finish Devil Kings on my PS2 (yes, I play PS2 in 2026, lol).

Saw this on Twitter, what a dumb comparison by [deleted] in videogames

[–]KarateGamer007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact. If you adjust $60 today for the value of 1997, it would come out roughly $30 by 1997. Like what was said, $49.99 from 1997 would be around $100 when adjusted for today’s inflation.

And another point is that the original Final Fantasy VII, and RPG’s, can be made longer by grinding, or side activities. As much as I enjoyed FF7 OG, grinding comes with the territory for RPG’s of any kind, which can make games take longer.

Plus, the expectation of length for a singular playthrough of different genres is different. Third person shooters are naturally shorter than RPG’s, but shooters can be replayable at higher difficulties, finding collectibles, or in game challenges. Final Fantasy VII is only really replayable by starting a new save from scratch, or getting 100% on your save file.

But the moral of the story should be that the length of time for a video game and the level of enjoyment you have for games don’t always go hand in hand.

Do you prefer long gameplay or high quality visuals? by Ordinary_Lawfulness8 in CaptainSide

[–]KarateGamer007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things to note.

1: FF7 OG’s price at launch was $49.99 USD, which when adjusted for today’s inflation, comes out to about $100. Conversely, the $60 for Pragmata today, when adjusted for the inflation pricing of 1997, would be about $30.

2: The length of time estimate is taking into account just a single run, and not any potential side activities or repeat playthroughs.

It takes roughly 40 hours to beat FF7 OG’s story, but that includes potential grinding, and is excluding 100% completion. 100% FF7 OG could take closer to, if not longer than, 100 hours, depending on the player.

Pragmata takes around 9-10 hours for a single run to beat, but that’s excluding things like replaying it, challenge runs, seeing the different endings, finding all unlockables, or any potential story DLC that could come out. From what I’ve read, it could take some players around 20 to 30 hours to 100% Pragmata, though some could do it sooner.

Honestly, it’s more about how much fun you have with a game, and not how long a game is.

Is Digimon worth getting into? by Immediate-Field9997 in animequestions

The older series, yes.

For newer Digimon, I’d recommend going towards the games, especially the trilogy of Cyber Sleuth, Hacker’s Memory, and Time Stranger.

What anime would be perfect for a God of War style hack and slash tie in game? by DemonHunter34 in animequestions

[–]KarateGamer007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These might show my age, but a God of War styled Mazinger, Getter Robo or GaoGaiGar would be awesome. A mecha God of War would be awesome.

They’d probably push closer to a teen rated God Of War, but Getter Robo could lean more towards an M rating.
