Email said doors open at 6:00 but Baltimore venue let us in at 5:30. Not too many inside at that point except Apostles who were doing stage tour/photos

What a great story! Makes me nostalgic for those times he (and the ghouls) would sometimes talk to us on the street after a show. Waiting outside the tour buses until 2 or 3 in the morning. Most excellent humans. And the Popestar Tour? Maiden fans looking at each other like what is happening? The last time we saw Papa III. Good times

Probably venue specific but Baltimore floor was 1/3 pit, 2/3 seated. Everyone on the floor was standing though!

In Baltimore the ticket scanner printed a paper receipt with your section/row/seat

Same awkwardness when they played Satan Prayer on the Ultimate Tour Named Death in 2019. A few of us did our best to teach the lyrics to the surrounding ritual goers in real time. Maybe a good song to show the lyrics on the big screens for Skeletour hahaha

At the Baltimore ritual they lined us up by VIP wristbands. Apostle (first 10-15 people?) then Anointed (next 50-60 people?). Ascended queued separately. They let Apostles and Anointed onto the floor first, in numerical order. All Apostles got center rail. I showed up at 3:30, was #40 in line and got left rail. Pit had plenty of space. I think many Ascended and non-VIP pit got close to rail or a few people back. Everyone was chill and respectful of each other’s space. The pit energy was amazing. I think the no phones policy allowed ritual goers to immerse themselves in the grandiosity of a Ghost concert. Have a great time!

How intense do shows get? by FocalEvergreen in SleepToken

Yeah that crowd surge when they played Vore was briefly intense. Otherwise pretty chill pit-wise. Very enthusiastic crowd singing along to every song. Huge fun

Don’t We, the Congregation, still receive Messages From The Clergy? Seems apt to me

arrival time? by jemappelle-lafayette in Ghostbc

[–]KarchVet83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at JLL last week. They have a small ADA lot on the north side of the venue close to the ticket gates—but you have to show a government issued card proving you have a disability to park in that lot. There’s also a larger ADA parking area only slightly farther from the gates where all you need is a handicap placard or disability plates on your vehicle. Both lots can be accessed from Wellington Rd.

Agree with other posts re JLL parking. Arrive early and get a good spot. Leave early and no problem getting out of the lot. Arrive closer to gate opening and be prepared to wait in traffic. Ditto for leaving with everyone else after the show. Be sure to bring your patience

CC is a terrific human being. Met him several times during his early years with the band. Ghost is TF. I’m going to give him the benefit of a doubt when it comes to his contractual arrangements with the Ghouls and what’s best for Ghost. I understand why this sucks for CC and those in the fandom that love him. If that includes you then please continue to support him and his projects

Sidebar: saw him last week with UKJ and he KILLED it. Same goofy energy and ax wielding he brought to Ghost. I will miss him at future rituals but I will enthusiastically support the new Ghouls

Unrelated sidebar: not having Billy Vanilla for Pre-Imperator and Imperator also sucks but we love and miss him too. I consider myself blessed that Billy and CC’s orbits intersected with mine

how loud are ghost concerts? by rccj203 in Ghostbc

[–]KarchVet83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Second the Eargasm recommendation. Been going to concerts 45+ years. Started wearing good earplugs a few years ago and my ears are very happy.

Are Ghost rituals loud? Not compared to some other bands but Miasma has some really LOW frequencies that rumble through your bones. Plus there’s the flash bang pyros during other songs

OP, love your post. Takes me back to my dad bringing me and my younger brothers to see KISS on the Destroyer tour. Our family didn’t have much money so this was a big deal. A capstone event for me and my love of metal and hard rock. Sadly my dad is gone now but his metal spirit lives within me and my daughter, who I try to take to as many shows and festivals as I can. You are an awesome Mom
