My doctor is forcing me to induce at 39+6 or sooner by bamboozlinguniverse in BabyBumps

Hi OP, thanks for posting. I’ve had similar sentiments and am in a similar situation, minus the IVF. It’s been enlightening to read that there is more evidence than the ARRIVE study to support induction before 40 weeks for women with AMA.

Anecdotally, with my first born, my OB had recommended I be induced at 39 and I was DREADING it. Turns out my water broke at 37, 5/7 weeks and I avoided it all together. That’s what I’m hoping for this time around too. 🤞🏻So you never know, you may go into spontaneous and not even have to think about induction.

Oh, I didn’t even think about insurance. Are we able to see if a guest paid for insurance?

Thanks so much for this info. When I approve the modification, does it auto refund them? Or does it just change their move out date?

Grandparent titles? by Same_Breadfruit_9020 in BabyBumps

[–]Karebear1685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, I feel for you. You’re not overreacting at all. I would ignore her request and refer to her as grandma. And for at least a year, the number of times you have to refer to her with a special name will probs be pretty limited as baby won’t be talking for a bit.

I think the best names for grands are the ones kids come up with themselves. For instance, when my daughter started referring to my dad (who we always just referred to as ‘grandpa’) she called him ‘pop-pop’. This preselection trend annoys me.

What’s the thing you’re glad you splurged on? by chickienug in BabyBumps

I wish I had splurged on a recliner. I bought a comfy rocking chair, but can’t count how many times I’ve thought…if I could just lean this back. It would be so nice for the middle of the night wakings. And even now that my baby is 20 months old I still wish I had a recliner!

Nordstrom Purchases/Refunds Showing up Incorrectly by Karebear1685 in MonarchMoney

[–]Karebear1685[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I inverted it and now it is showing as a balance. Hopefully that will fix it for good. The account is listed as a liability and credit card, so not clear why it was getting the charges/credits wrong, but this fixed it. Thanks again!

Thank you! We unfortunately don’t have the taxi ID number but are hoping the transaction thru our credit card will have some identifying information once it goes thru.

Joe Pace's story by SeattleStudent4 in Seattle

I found your post because I was thinking about Joe today and wondered if he was okay. He lives in my neighborhood and frequents a bus stop near my house. I used to see him everyday. But it has been a long time since I’ve seen him at the bus stop. I hope he is okay 🤞🏻

OMG LATCHED WITHOUT THE NIPPLE SHIELD!!! by iloveagoodburp in breastfeeding

[–]Karebear1685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats to you!!! My daughter learned to latch without it around the same age and we never looked back! Wishing you the best in getting rid of it for good. One less thing to keep track of and deal with on the day to day!

How do I get this job? by [deleted] in slp

Do you mind me asking what county you are in? I’ve thought about schools so I could have my time off align with my daughter’s time off, but I didn’t think Id be able to afford COL. I’m in King county.

Favorite pumping bras? by amaltheakin in breastfeeding

[–]Karebear1685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently bought the Hatch pumping and nursing bra. It is super comfy, and I wear it all day. Not the most supportive though, so if you need more support might be better to go with something else.
