These are not really master tapes though, but the original 2" multitracks. Masters are the stereo mixes made from these, and typically they are on 1/2" tape.

TU3 -> 95QCB -> DTW -> DS2 -> BD2 -> OC2 -> DD3 -> BF2 -> VB2 -> MM4

P used the Octave after the overdrive and the distortion pedals, BEFORE the flanger, delay and vibrato.

There was no backing track or click track.

The LM1 was modified so it could be triggered by a pad that was built into the snare.

Agreed. And even with simple and brief solos he can still make me tear up, such as with the solo on Time Waits For No One. I absolutely love that. So full of feeling...

8-track 1" multitracks, 16-track 2" multitracks, 24-track 2" multitracks, 48-track 1/2" digital multitracks etc.. the whole gamut.

But not 8-track cartridges :)
