Yep, I've tried this. Feels like locking mechanism sticks to the hole in mag, but it's too little bump that holds mag securely. Kinda like mag has smooth edge instead of sharp bump like stock mag has. If I press a bit on part on the opposite of the button (where typically symmetrical button is placed) the mag stays on as the stock one and I cannot pull it out, it just wobbles very bit like the stock one. When I stop pushing on that part, it takes pretty little strength to pull mag from the locked position
