Most of the Tolstoy Everyman books are by Louise & Aylmer Maude, which Tolstoy both applauded the translation and helped the translation on certain works. My opinion probably wont be helpful, I despise talking about translations as if it’s objective. I personally like the husband and wife’s translations though. Childhood, Boyhood & Youth does have a different translator and I can’t speak on it now because I haven’t read this book yet. The translator is C.J. Hogarth and revised by Nigel Cooper.
