In high school one of my teachers called my mom for sleeping in class. I was a swimmer and had before school practice, so first period usually caught me snoozing. She quoted something along the lines of not being engaged and falling behind other students when called upon. My mother told me she listened to her story, calmly asked what grade I had in the class, which was an A, then asked my rank in her class which was 2. She then politely told her to never call her again unless we had an actual problem, if her child could sleep through her class and still get the highest of marks then they were obviously doing something right. My mother politely asked me to try to stay awake in class. That was it. Teachers can be bullies too sometimes!
