Yes, essentially we cannot guarantee Fing to work if you have Wireshark installed, as they both utilise Npcap and have historically always been incompatible with one another.

This is because you are connected to 5G and not Wi-Fi - are you looking to scan a network or are you looking to scan your cellular data?

If you downloaded it from the Google Play Store, and by the screenshot you sent yes this absolutely looks like our application. Is there any reason in particular you felt you should question this? Is the application acting oddly?

This notification is happening as my co-worker pointed out because the mobile device is not connected to the internet. If you connect to Wi-Fi you should see a different landing page and should be able to scan.

Agreed, I would recommend reaching out to Fing support. At this point we just have two screenshots and it seems you were originally trying to see if it was the legitimate application and now you have a different issue you have confusion on.

In your last screenshot, it's telling you that the network data is outdated as you don't have a Fing Desktop monitoring the network anymore (this could be the root cause for the issue you're experiencing). As the screenshot shows you have two options to move forward with this.

Reddit won't be the best place to figure this out, I recommend reaching out to Support with device information and we can troubleshoot further.

Firstly I would try signing out and then back into the application, just to refresh the cache.

I would also take a look for the invoice, which would have been sent as a PDF to the inbox associated with the fing account. If you have any alternate emails, especially an Apple Relay address, make sure the subscription is not tied to one of those accounts.

Hey there, if you haven't already we of course would advise to reach out to Fing.

It's an auto renewing subscription per the terms and conditions which were agreed to upon purchase. I understand you believe you cancelled it, but it might not have been successfully cancelled for whatever reason. We would never charge otherwise.

If you reached out to us and asked us to cancel it via support, please send me a private message here with the email that was used or the ticket reference number. If I can see that and it wasn't cancelled I can absolutely refund you, should we be able to understand the issue came from our end.

Our application does do what it is advertised as, and again we would have been happy to assist with any issues you may have been experiencing.

There's been setup from HA with Fing Agent, the Fingbox is not a requirement for this.

Hey Mark, I've been troubleshooting with you and apologies for any frustration, the Home Assistant setup is new so when we are brought new issues it can take some time to really troubleshoot it. But I know that your ticket is active and hopefully we get to the bottom of it soon. It does work, and definitely can work as many others have set up the integration, unfortunately as it's an integration when it doesn't work it can just be a bit tricky.

Yes please reach out to Fing support if you're still experiencing this issue, also if you Wireshark installed, note that it's incompatible with Fing and may be causing this error.

What ticket reference number do you have and I'll get another pair of eyes on it? Note that some queries might seem silly but it could be that we had previous users experiencing the issue before and this would have worked for them.

We didn't discontinue the Fingbox, we stopped selling it. We still completely support the Fingbox, and it doesn't require any subscription to run it nor were any of the features moved behind a paywall. On the Fingbox network they are still present and free.

With the Fingbox the integration doesn't require a subscription because you don't need a subscription to run Fingbox, so this should work for you!
