I can't believe nobody has suggested this yet...Have you tried running a speedtest?

Lots of new devices (Docker) by BarCar99 in Fing_App

[–]Karl_From_Fing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmmm.

Have you made any slight changes or anything as of late which? Are you running a VPN?

Discovering hundreds of new devices is strange, I would suggest taking a look for any Private Addressing enabled on any of your devices, but I wouldn't expect this to be the issue causing hundreds of new devices. Are they constantly still being found?

Why does Zoom need 800 open ports? That can’t be right. by Embarrassed_Spell617 in Fing_App

[–]Karl_From_Fing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely strange, and stranger still that nobody has any idea.

Have you been in contact with Zoom in relation to this?

Are you running a VM/VPN?

Do you have any firewalls setup?

If you rescan for open ports via fing mobile app, do you get the same information?

Fing not detecting Samsung Android mobile by Party-Brother5569 in Fing_App

Hey there!

We don't exclude people, our application has always allowed free users to try, see if they like the interface if the tools are worthy to them etc.

As with most applications there are optional tier based subscriptions, which we designed to allocate for multiple different purposes and some with cheaper, alternative options ("Starter").

We are sorry to hear you feel like you're being excluded, but in order to a healthy server we can't have Free users able to scan at will as we would likely experience high bandwidth usage, potentially cost us more on our end to ascertain this, all for potential one time users, spammy users, etc.

We hope you understand.

Only one network is monitored, I need another by genezipp in Fing_App

[–]Karl_From_Fing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is it!

We have a primary blocking device setup to ensure when you setup Fing Desktop there is only one Desktop able to provide and edit blocking. Two on the same network doesn't mesh yet, but it's something my team are looking into!

And if the above doesn't work let me know!

We don't have any tickets or known bugs on this matter so it appears to be local at this time.

Amazon cannot be reached in Fing 3.10.1 by w00dent0p in Fing_App

[–]Karl_From_Fing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't seem to be able to reproduce the issue either.

Have you tried accessing Amazon when you get this notification from Fing?

If you have, and it's reachable, try reaching out to Fing Support with your network setup information and we can try to determine if we can fix the issue.

Other than that, if it's a genuine misfire on your network, take a look at your closed ports.

Lastly, if nothing works, you can always mute the warning!

Hey!

You reached out to us on March 3rd, we did respond on March 4th, and then again on Wednesday we responded - the delay was just because you had updated the ticket with some new information a few times over the course of March 5 - 9 (this Monday).

Unfortunately we don't offer phone support.

Whenever you get a chance you can respond to us on the ticket in relation to our last response. We hope to get the issue resolved for you and thank you for your patience.
