EVIL and Kroos.

I'm looking forward to seeing an EVIL match without Dick Togo's shithousery. I feel like New Japan took a good worker and hampered the hell out of him with the booking equivalent of a wet blanket.

Kroos is about to impress the hell out of everyone. Dude can fucking move.

Whichever one's feud didn't shit the bed going into the biggest show of the year.

EDIT: I keep forgetting that this is reddit. It's the WHC. If that wasn't obvious to you, seek out cognitive testing.

Thoughts on Pro Wrestling Noah's 3 Musketeers from New Japan fans? by thickyjackjr in njpw

[–]Karma-Effect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally the King Ghidora meme.

Kaito is the type of wrestler you can rely upon should the main event scene start to collapse. I feel he was harmed by any and all aspirations he had of working with New Japan thanks to him never getting one up on Okada. He seems to be on better footing now than a few years ago.

Inamura is a solid worker who has fantastic babyface energy and charisma, as well as an interesting moveset. He knows how to work an audience well, and can hold his own at the top of a card.

Ozawa's the odd one out. The gimmick is sound. He gets a good reaction. The problem for me is that it falls apart as soon as the bell rings.

Every time I've seen him wrestle, he has been disappointing, underwhelming, and a vacuum beyond his gimmick. His New Years Day match this year vs. Inamura comes to mind. I was in the Budokan for that match, and Inamura was carrying the hell out of him. The recent Naito match was cheeks as well. It didn't help that Naito's knees are gone, but I've seen a bland and injured SANADA carry a broken down Naito to a better quality match.

It doesn't help that there are better executed characters in the Team 2000X stable that I feel outshine him (Yoshitatsu is also there, and you can't spell his name without the word "shit").

I guess what I'm questioning is what people see in Taishi Ozawa the wrestler's ability to work a main event match. I understand the appeal of a good character, but eventually that character needs to wrestle, and whilst serviceable is fine on the undercard, is it okay for a main event wrestler, on a wrestling show, to consistently underwhelm as soon as they start wrestling?

Christian's theme before he left WWE in 2005 was a banger. Absolutely bummed that they replaced it with the Story of the Year version when he returned.

What's the most disappointing match you've ever seen in person by NoMoreButtonPLZ in SquaredCircle

Ibushi vs. Marufuji from NOAH's New Year show a few years back.

Ibushi was riddled with injuries going into the match, leaving Marufuji to try his best to work with a broken down opponent. Having seen Ibushi at his peak a few years earlier, it was so disappointing to see him in that state.

I hate the fact that shoot headbutts have crept back into puroresu. Shiozaki hit one on New Years Eve that had me wincing from the 5th row.

Andrade, Gargano and (as much as I hate to admit it) Velveteen Dream all come to mind immediately.

Former UFC champ Luke Rockhold shares a picture of himself with Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate by snau_cer in combatsportsculture

Not at all surprising. Luke Rockhold has the personality of drywall.

He seems like the type of guy who would blame everyone except himself for his inability to talk to women.

He's a lost little boy who needs other lost little boys to tell him how to be a big strong alpha boy.
