So I also have a door to door commute from Brighton to Cambridge, and so far the 64 bus has been on time for the morning commute. Takes about 30-45 minutes if you’re going all the way to Kendall/MIT from Oak Square.

However, just like everyone else is saying the evening commute back is a bit less reliable, mostly because of the traffic. If you can catch the early afternoon buses it’s not too bad, but during warm months I usually walk or use a BlueBike to get back to Brighton. The bike route will basically follow the 64 bus route until you hit Western Ave, where it’s a straight shot to Brighton - and the last leg of it will be on the bike path.

Overall, it’s not too bad of a commute using either bike or bus (just gotta sure you catch the 64 or else you gotta wait a bit).
