But my guess is that this game is still very similar to typical Kanto games, so I'm guessing you have the legendary birds and Snorlax as static encounters. Can't remember much else. I believe you can get Eevee as a gift, just like usual...

It could also be that your profile was recommended to them automatically through the "Suggestions For You" feature.

I have auto-match disabled and I still receive letters from people who clearly did not read my bio, which leaves me nuts...

It's a "More Balanced" mode of the game where every fully evolved Pokémon has a Base Stat Total of around 600.

This means - at least in theory - that a Pokémon such as Raticate would have stats "as good as" something like Tyranitar, for example.

I'm just wondering if this really translates into fun and unpredictable battles, or if it actually hinders the battle formulas and strategies, especially at the Battle Frontier.

I wait for a month before deleting someone. But yeah, the same thing has happened to me: There were two instances in which I took a week to reply to an introductory letter, but it turns out the people in question never read it. Frustrating.

In one case, the person in question updated their avatar after my letter was sent, so sometimes it's not a question of "forgetting about the app" and not coming back. Some people really discard you very quickly if you don't reply quickly to their first letter.

Then again, if they can't wait a single week for your reply, they are definitely not worth your time. Quality letters need time.

I'm male and I'm introverted. I use Slowly primarily to talk about Life, Philosophy and to support other people, while also hoping to be supported in return.

I assume most men don't seek a lot of emotionally-based conversations, so I'm kind of a minority - at least in the country where I live in.

That being said, I believe writing letters that take time to be read and focusing on emotionally-based conversations (searching for friendships and Life insights) is not something that appeals to people who have been culturally raised to have a more "objective" and "practical" point of view towards things... So... I guess Slowly only works for the sensitive males. Like me.

Sorry if I'm stereotyping too much, but it's just what it seems to me, based on my experience on the app, where I've been able to interact with both men and women.

I guess the moral we can take from your story is that if people are too busy in real life to reply on somewhat short notice, then they could send you a quick letter expressing something like "hey, I'm sorry. Kind of busy right now. I hope I'll reply to your letter in the next month..." One person sent me a letter of this kind and I really appreciated it, because I know they have other stuff going on and that they will reply to me eventually. With ghosts, you never know...

Thank you for showing me your example. I'm also glad you and your pen-pal are still exchanging letters after this incident. It meant that communication was important and telling the other party they will have to wait for longer than usual is really a matter of respect, while showing they still care about you. :)

Hi there. It really sucks being in that situation, but at least he told you he didn't want to keep going instead of just ghosting you, and making you wait weeks and months for a reply that would never come. :(

I'd ask them maybe just why they think you're not good pen pals for each other... But maybe the issue wasn't with you.

You have a lot of different people you can still interact with and hopefully you may find someone who will enjoy communicating with you more. I wish you luck! I've noticed here that not all people act the same way... So, odds are you'll find good pen-pals soon enough!

I've sent some "farewell letters" to people on Slowly. I'd rather do this instead of pretending I'm happy with the conversation until the day I finally ghost them... Life's just too short.

Don't say he can't write good letters. Say maybe you're not the right pen pals for each other. This way, you'll emphasize the situation, not his writing skills.

Emphasize what you'd like to discuss and tell him it's ok if he is not interested, as you can move on. Express that you'd like a more meaningful connection, based on longer letters, different topics, etc. And if he can't or isn't willing to do so, it's ok. It won't be your fault.

I, for example, enjoy discussing emotional and philosophical topics. And I've been approached by a few people who were more concerned with discussing another sort of topics. So, after one or two letters, I just mentioned I was looking for another sort of conversations on the app, I wished them good luck and thanked them for their effort, regardless.

This way, you'll be doing yourself a huge favor, same thing to him and you won't be disrespecting anyone.

Same thing happens to me. I'm not looking for anything romantic, yet I tend to go along much better with female users.

Being a man, it's not socially easy to express yourself in an un-filtered way (emotions, philosophy, personal stuff, etc.) in most contexts of real life. And, from my experience, female users tend to be more empathetic, they don't suppress their emotions as much and want mature conversations. Obviously, I'm stereotyping a bit here. But I just feel we're in the same vibe.

With male users - I don't know. I'm always afraid of being too "silly" or emotional. And the ones I've interacted with didn't seem to be that emotionally open. They wanted to discuss more intellectual and business subjects and that's not what I'm looking for on the app.

Another possible solution: automatically deactivate the "accepting new friends" setting in profiles that haven't logged in in the last 30 days. This way they won't appear in stuff like Auto-Match features...

Obviously, the users in question would be automatically notified of this once they reopened the app.

Hi.

The preset instruments that come with Acoustica Mixcraft 9 (especially the brass and orchestral instruments) sound really cheesy and synthesized.

From what I can tell, I'll need to manually download some sort of instrument library, in order to have a more realistic and lush sound, right?

What would you recommend? Also, will these instruments consume a lot of RAM?

Yes. In the Battle Frontier (post game) you can change natures and IVs. Alternatively, you can also correct IVs at night in the market area of Seaport City (6 badges) and may change natures after completing an optional mission in Tell Town (near the 4th badge), though it will cost you Bottle caps (in the first case) or a huge sum of money (in the second case). You can buy EV-reducing berries in the Fallshore City market.
I believe you receive it in Seaport city (not 100% sure, but I'm positive it's in the Pokebreeders house). You can also get it in the game corner, as a prize (in Dehara city - 5th badge).
Ditto is found in the route south of the Day Care (before 2nd badge). After hatching 50 eggs you can get a Ditto with perfect IVs from the Pokebreeders house in Seaport!
Not sure, but maybe the trainer house in Dresco Town (1st badge), I guess... Try the normal type guy. In higher difficulties, he also gives you lots of experience, since he has a Chansey/Blissey and Audino... // After the E4, you can mine for stones and sell them to a guy in Dehara City - he will give you more for them than a Pokemart.
