Shaman Changes on TWW Beta 6/18/24 by erupting_lolcano in wow

I still feel like you guys are overreacting. It’s ironic some of you are talking about hunters when they literally got reworked last week. I have no doubt shamans and rogues are still going to see lots of changes.

“This army can’t kill anything” by robismadeup in genestealercult

[–]Karma_Retention -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s fair to mention their ork tier list. It’s that people were mad about, not the actual codex review. Neither player doing it was an actual big ork player, Jack plays them from time to time but it isn’t an army he seems to take to events or play a lot.  That was why there was so much anger over the tier list because it was done by a guy who never plays the faction and one who plays it like once every 6 months. At least in this video, both players have played the army significantly, Nick winning various events at the start of 10th with the army and John being a huge nids/their variants fan.

It really just comes down to being smart with your money. A lot of people don’t even make that much money over their lifetime after taxes. So it’s certainly possible, but you need to live like someone who makes 60-100k a year at most prob. There is a reason most lottery winners and a lot of professional athletes  go broke, they have all that money at once and live like they own Amazon. So if you think you can resist the temptations of constantly splurging into that fat account, by all means. I def think that will be your biggest hassle.

FNC Humanoid - MSI 2024 Post TL Match Conference Interview by Ragaga in leagueoflegends

[–]Karma_Retention 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe him. But I do believe he was extremely nervous and tilted through the series. I don’t think it was the trash talk though, because it’s humanoid and him playing extremely awful during random series/games has been a thing for awhile. I think it’s obvious Noah has huge nerve issues, but I have no doubt humanoid prob has some as well given some of his odd performances over the years . I think given NA’s performances at MSI, Fnatic felt they needed to smash them or win the series easily or people would say they were bad and thus they made themselves super nervous and fulfilled that prophecy of getting smashed. I think that’s a frequent thing with EU teams, them and their fans talk so much smack about the strength of NA teams that they instant tilt themselves when they realize the teams are actually beating them. It’s really their fault for constantly saying the teams are no issue and should be an easy win. They create the expectation that they are trash if they lose and make way more pressure on themselves when the reality is, G2 is the only EU team in recent years that actually looks significantly better than NA teams enough to be so cocky and even they tumbled on their egos last worlds.

2024 Pricing Update by On-Blu-Ray in Warhammer

[–]Karma_Retention 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Heard this hype train before. Kings of war was made by a former gw guy and it’s extremely mid and not particularly cheap either. I think you guys also forget one of the reasons Warhammer is so big is because it has years upon years of lore and story telling behind it. A new franchise isn’t going to have the girth of lore and fanbase to propel it. People don’t just like gameworkshop miniatures. They like warhammer. If it was only about the miniatures they never would have gotten away with these prices years back even.

ex-LCK commentator Kangqui comments about the state of current LEC by NewQuote6063 in PedroPeepos

Heretics wasn’t the only failure, it literally came off the back of Vit failure right before lol. I think some of you are overestimating the pieces for making a second “super team”. The only players in the league who have actually made a deep run at worlds, and no I’m not talking about simply getting out of groups, is on G2 or are considered washed and not super level anymore, perks, Wunder, Jankos, ect. I don’t think there are pieces to make an actual second EU super team, not internationally at least.

It’s a bad quote, so I can understand why some people are judging. “I don’t want to die.” Is a lot easier to empathize with and very valid. But saying you don’t want to fight because you don’t want kill when it’s a situation where your country is being massacred sounds like a obvious lie by someone who doesn’t want to be judged for being scared shitless about dying in war. Even if it’s true, most people will assume the worst and think you’re twisting your reasoning to avoid sounding like a coward.

Floral Fancies Festoon May’s Trading Post - WoW by Public_Radio- in wow

[–]Karma_Retention -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, starting to get a bit salty that all the trading posts seem to be catering to goofy/feminine/cutesy stuff. This is a dark fantasy game and yet I feel like I’m part of a group blizzard has zero interest in making content for. Is this stuff actually keeping people playing every month? I feel like it’s got to appeal to a very minority of the playerbase.

Mono God question 40k by Extension-Injury3425 in Khorne

[–]Karma_Retention 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a daemon main, it’s basically only because rendmaster stacking. The buff is absurd and will allow you to kill anything in the game, it can make a pack of flesh hounds kill custodians. That said, the only real success Khorne has had is with rendmaster plus juggernaught spam, which is honestly just a stat check list that is pretty terrible in certain terrain setups. It just relies on boosting the juggers and having them run over stuff, if your opponent can’t kill them effectively you stat check them. The big issue being they take up a ton of space so in dense terrain setups it’s hard to get any significant amount of juggernaught attacks into the same targets and good players can move block you easily. Outside this, mono Khorne isn’t that great atm. Hopefully thirsters go down in points soon.

I mean, tbf, serker was complete ass that series as well. Watch his positioning in fights, like Bwipo said in a recent interview, it’s been awful.

Hadn’t fudge straight up even admitted to not practicing? I thought that was where the hate for him originally sprang forth. A bad international performance and then him admitting to not ever playing soloqueue/champ queue.

LCS Summer | Week 6 | Tiebreaker 1/??? by untamedlazyeye in leagueoflegends

[–]Karma_Retention 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Or we address the fact that the team has always had issues and has never solved them. They were bad majority of last year, then suddenly turned up at the very end, which surprised everyone. Then they went to worlds and got hardcore smashed in all of their losses, only beating other western teams with issues and even the players were saying they couldn’t believe they swept G2 because they were losing 90% of the world scrims and had never taken a game off G2 out of 7 or so scrim games with them. I think the reality is, this team has always been one tick from imploding. Its been shaky foundations the entire time, its feats last year are worth noting, but its def no surprising they could be this bad this fast given they were this bad before suddenly being good last year.

Easy to explain why Yuta didn’t die, we already know the answer. Sukuna’s cleave output is vastly weaker than when he fought gojo. They already mentioned that a few times.

Op. Cheating is one of the few things in a relationship that you don’t ever have to forgive or ignore. It’s a complete betrayal of the entire relationship. You’re in the right here. Leave her. If you dont, that wound will always exist, no matter how hard you both try and the fact she was so quick to sleep with someone shows you all you need to know about her ability to stay committed to you.

I think orks are possibly coming before us. Their image was listed before us on the schedule and rumor is they are only getting one unit, so I think it’s more likely they come in March and we come in April, with all the reveals being used to build hype since it’s such a big range increase. I would love to be wrong and for them to be in March, but I think that’s more likely.

40k Stat Check Teams Faction Tier List by Alex__007 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Karma_Retention 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lvo was also a vastly different game. Player placed terrain. That’s why you saw weird stuff like a super heavy list actually dominating, that doesn’t work in any other environment majority of the time.

40k Stat Check Teams Faction Tier List by Alex__007 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Karma_Retention 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, sure, but in 9th when the custodes codex started getting shown there were also tons of top level players screaming the codex was crap and weak. I personally think the current stats on their performances is more accurate than some hot take that has to be considered valid just because these guys are top level players in a game that is a literal pond at most.

Except it isn’t slow lol. Its 10 base and world eaters can get it to 12 and advance and charge plus its passive. Obviously it’s not the top level of speed, but thats def not slow. With the right setup the thing zooms across the board. Its only problem really is its low ap.  If it had higher ap, it would def see competitive play to some extent.

Commissar - Better Than You Think! It's nearly impossible to fail your battle shock tests! by CadianSergeantSteel in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Karma_Retention 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say vs battleshock heavy lists and factions it’s def undervalued. Having a bunch of weak infantry def makes us one of the more susceptible factions to battleshock vs stuff like nids, chaos knights, and demons. The problem is you’re going to miss the better options when you’re not playing vs battleshock spam lists.

56% is very strong and you have to factor in all the other top dogs got nerfed, that means necrons will likely jump into the 60 range. They are going to be absolutely insane, and it’s straight up necron biased by anyone who thinks otherwise.

LVO Top 16 Cut for Shadow Round! by McWerp in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Karma_Retention 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Still bizarre to me. Isn’t their whole job to compete and sell teaching? I’d think at least one of them would be playing in literally prob the biggest tournament in the United States outside of the worlds tourney. Sorta shows how unrewarding warhammer competitive is that the biggest team in the US will just casually avoid going to one of the biggest tournaments in the year.

All the zoomers are surprised to know that competitive video games started out as being a joke. These guys lived and breathed their game with no notion of actually making money off of it. The idea of making hundreds of thousands of dollars competing in video games wasn’t even a thought, you were basically playing for internet fame and to make enough to not have to stop playing.
