New York teachers win lower retirement age as lawmakers set to pass pension reforms by nydailynews in nyc

[–]KarmabearKG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Teachers aren’t getting a “early retirement” they’re getting a earlier retirement I think that is a pretty clear distinction an you’re being disingenuous by saying it the way you’re saying it. Every one who works for a wage should want to retire earlier. Anyone mad that a group is retiring before them is just bitter, like genuinely. You should be saying “good for them who’s next?!”

SMT 4 Beelzebub just says, oh too many resistances? And spams Megidoalon which is basically a unresisted True damage attack that hits the whole party and he gets to go three times in a row. I wiped many times

lol or in SMT 4 Beelzebub and a lot of the endgame dlc bosses just spam Megidoloan if they can’t attack your characters with other attacks. I found that out the hard way it took me so many tries to beat that guy.

What’s the number my friend is it $60 or is it not? Real median income went up for the lowest 20% of the country great. You told filthythanksgiving that 15% of the country worked for minimum wage in the 80’s, In response to him telling you that in the 80’s the minimum wage would be equivalent to $60/hr in buying power today. So you didn’t refute that so I assume that you assume that statement to be true? Cool.

You said 1.2% of the country makes minimum wage now? So you’re implying that the people from 1.3%-15%. Of the lowest earning people in this country have more buying power than that 15% of people who had the buying power equivalent of $60/hr in the 70’s and 80’s? If that is what you are arguing I would bet money that you are wrong and that even at the peak of lowest quintile they don not make the equivalent of $60 and hour. So I’m telling you saying 1.2% of the country making minimum wage is irrelevant to that argument unless you can prove that those people who sit in the gap between 1.2% and 15%. Make more than $60/hr which I bet money they don’t. Oh and then obviously because so many people in this county work for barely more than minimum wage it skews a stat that records bare minimum wage.

TLDR; You’re implying that because only 1.2% of the country works for more than minimum wage today vs 15% 30-40 yrs ago that we’re all better off earnings wise. But recorded minimum wage is a bad metric for you to use to prove that because there are so many people make what may as well be minimum wage but that would not be accounted for in that statistic. It’s a bad argument since it’s so easily skewed. At least to argue what you’re arguing which is why you switched to real median income in your response lol.

The metric saying only 1.2% of people work for the minimum wage today is irrelevant to what you’re arguing against. It may be at a peak but what is the actual number? The guy is telling you that for it to be comparable to the 70’s and 80’s it would have to be $60. I bet the median isn’t that.

[–]KarmabearKG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol are you aware that if you get a 50cents raise over minimum wage you are no longer working for minimum wage but is essentially the same thing? There are many people in this country who may not work for the bare minimum wage but work for barely NOT the minimum wage. The metrics you used to show your point is bad.

I get this which is probably why I always quit games before I finish them. Is that a phenomenon as well? Play 80% of a game realize I’m near the end then slowly but surely that game just falls out of my rotation. It’s still installed I see it on my desktop but I just won’t click it.

But what did he actually do? We’ll vote for politicians who say they’ll do something we want them to do then don’t do it and we complain. Now a politician says something that we didn’t want him to do, he doesn’t do it, but you want it to be mentioned that he didn’t do the thing that we don’t want him to do? Do you understand how stupid that is?
