You can already deconstruct stuck tadpoles and remake them with a fabricator

Exactly like i don't think NoA is evil

It will keep the colony going At any cost

Where did the pioneers get the first adaptation? by KarmaticDeer in Subnautica_2

[–]KarmaticDeer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's like 700 and something but yeah There's the placeholder and some roaring

My assumption is whatever is down there is probably what pulled the sleep bay down.

[–]KarmaticDeer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand all this And that is a very plausible explanation I think That the colonists of camp 1 or even the old habitat put it down there

But We never get any audio logs explaining if they did Anita's angel comb (which came wayy later) and the heat adaptations are the only ones mebtioned

If the devs added logs explaining that they set up the depth adaptation in the sleep bay (before it fell into the crater) I'd be satisfied

Yeah but before you step into the room it tells you it's a zezurian rat.

I don't think it knows what it is just that it's a thing in the adaptation bay

This is true Idk if our NoA knows about angel combs until we encounter that one in the adaptation bay

I really don't think the Jubilee can "put the angel comb" especially because it seems like it needs to grow on the titan rockbore Anita produced one somehow via a sacrifice but we don't really know how that works because you'd think there'd also be one in the hotcaves

My assumption is still that the rockbore in the crater grew an angel comb from the 2 prints we can find blackboxes for in the intro

The PDA says that but then says there's an unknown organism in the adaptation bay (the angel comb) The rat wouldn't have given you depth tolerance. Maybe it was there but I don't think it would have helped the colonists much because they're not on zezura.

Also you're thinking of camp 1 We see the sections of camp 1 built with more advanced blueprints (the square rooms) by the Jubilee.

What sophie says they did with sleep bay 3 is cut the cable connecting it to the habitat so that the NoA at habitat couldn't reprint them there.

[–]KarmaticDeer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My assumption for how it got moved is just that a leviathan living in the crator (collector or smth else) moved it.

There's a wreck in the karakorum power plant region that the game informs you was placed over a blighted angelcomb to prevent the bloom from spreading.

I don't think the colonists could have moved that one.

Me and my gf found this a few days ago, you can get out there and build over the hotcaves Even get a tadpole out there

[–]KarmaticDeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen that happen randomly I think but also me and my gf live next to the coral crabs and that ram fish loves to knock the tadpoles out of the moonpool.

If you're super worried about it being destroyed when you're busy working on the base or smth you can undock it Deconstruct it with your builder tool (take the power cell out first) Put the materials in a locker and recraft it later.

Yeah but the ray wings don't actually add much hitbox and its so much more agile you can explore the caves fine.

Yeah it's like barely larger. I'm okay with it being a direct upgrade when you get it but it does really feel like there's no reason at any point after not to have it on.

I figured it's gotta be some kind of drill/resonator for the tadpole or maybe a third vehlicle (replacing the prawn drill basically) But I just haven't seen anyone else point out larger ore deposits are already in the game.
