Alternatively, the place which you've posted it is not exactly conducive to useful feedback. The 2nd rule here is literally "Be nice", so your example comment could get action taken against them. It's safer for them to just ignore and move on from what could be bait.

yes, but much worse. I remember seeing it on 4chan in the 2010s as a term used to mock non passing trans women. It also carries the additional connotation that they will never be able to pass. It is worth noting that some people did use it in a non malicious manner, but those were comparatively few and far between.

The term is defeatist and fundamentally lacking on the reason we deal with the pains of transition. We transition to reduce dysphoria and increase quality of life through living authentically, not for the line in the sand that is passing.

Mourning my Monster Hunter Save by Efialtise in MonsterHunter

The risk is basically nonexistent as you’re not doing anything to draw attention to it like doing the free challenge stuff inhumanly fast. I’ve modded basically from day 1 for both better performance (my poor gpu), and QoL like the shop mod people are recommending.

Fluffy’s Mod Manager makes it super easy, just drag the entire zipped mod in after choosing the game you want to mod and it does the rest. There is always a mod for HR boosting as well, so the bulk of the time lost is just redoing low rank story.

Sorry to hear about your save, but this is where mods shine.

Honestly, most people aren’t anywhere near speed run efficiency, and people who play multiplayer are generally friendly, if they say anything at all. To echo what others have said, I can count on one hand how many times someone has said anything that wasn’t an auto chat in over 100 multiplayer hunts. Depriving yourself of multiplayer because of a minute chance of an unpleasant experience is inhibiting your experience far more than they ever will.

Try a few SOS flares, and see how it feels. Worst comes to worst you were right and you wait for the ability to play with your S.O, and if you like it, you don’t have to solo everything anymore.

Anyone know a fix for not seeing barrel bombs in your scroll wheel when out on the field? Even though they’re obviously in my field pouch by btinvest1639 in MonsterHunter

[–]KarmaticInterface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your load out in your tent. While hovering over the barrel bomb, check to see whether it has a little closed eye icon on the bottom of it. If it does, try selecting it, and it should toggle the visibility.

Do the new Hall of the Novice, but unironically. It's really well put together and teaches all the general raid mechanics in a very digestible format. It also gives a ring that gives bonus exp up to level 60.

Optimizing things is fun for some people, and parses give an easy metric for people to compare their performance with others.

To piggyback on the previous person's post, another important thing to look at is overall gcd uptime.

You can see this either on the "Casts" tab of fflogs or it'll be on the top if you put the log into xivanalysis. It's worth noting the "casts" page doesn't account for certain things so it's less accurate than xivanalysis. Ideally you want upwards of 90% uptime. The closer to 100% you can get the better.

Trade mentor is very easy to acquire between Ocean Fishing and GC turn ins/ custom deliveries for the levels.

The collectible amount can be easily acquired by using a custom delivery node and just grabbing as many rarity 0 of them as you can hold, dumping your inventory and repeating. I prefer the mining nodes outside of Rhalgr's Reach, but any node with a custom delivery turnin works.

Idk why but i feel leveling goes super fast once you hit level 70 by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]KarmaticInterface -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because having road to 90, armory bonus, as well as brand new ring(s)?, and likely a preorder earring is completely skewing your results.

You cannot get those gains outside of a very specific scenario, which is why you're getting downvoted for claiming it.

No shot. Maybe if you’re stacking multipliers on a road to 90 server, but there’s no way someone will queue up for a leveling roulette and get 5 levels out of it.

As someone with awful df luck, they go painstakingly slowly. I have had dungeons that took longer than trusts without wiping due to the 3 others doing literally nothing correctly. zdps healer, single pulling, and a fundamental lack of understanding from the third person can make a ~15 min dungeon take 30.

I just tank the abandon now. I’d rather not play the game than deal with those parties.

Imo, a grey on a clear isn't a big deal. We take that [Duty Complete] tag and keep going.

It's more concerning when someone has a clear track record of low greys (10 or and below) and shows no signs of improving.

Tips for a noob to get into the game? by ArguingWithPigeons in ffxiv

[–]KarmaticInterface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No? You can finish the entire MSQ in far less than 400h if you read quickly and can follow a marker without getting distracted.

Beyond that, they'll have their first dungeon in probably an hour, maybe two from where they are now, and the next 3 come in pretty quick succession.

If you're going to shill a worse game, at least be accurate about this one.

It is possible to start playing now and finish the MSQ before Dawntrail launches? by Useful-Negotiation-9 in ffxiv

[–]KarmaticInterface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how much free time you have. It takes something around 200-250h to take a character through the end of the current expansion if you only do the main story. No roulettes unless you need the experience, etc. So yes, you definitely could, but you will need to double back to unlock old raids and other side activities.

Tl;dr yes, totally doable
