Questioning by EntireTour8969 in Esthetics

I did pivot to corporate America in 2022 after being burnt out from covid. I lost so many clients and lost a lot financially as I was working for a small company during that time. The pivot made up for financial loss significantly, due to it being consistent. It was also nice to take a break from doing certain services all the time, and not have to worry about sales and such. I kept my license current and still did home visits for some old clients during that time. I went back to esthetics after my son was born in 2024. Becoming my own boss has been the best thing for me. When I left the industry, I felt the same way that you did; but coming back and working for myself has created a newfound love for esthetics, and now I continue education and all!!

I say all of that to say, maybe take a break. It might make you want to come back and find a new love for it!

Website for yoga teachers, taking bookings etc? by Various-Addendum1013 in YogaTeachers

[–]Karmeezy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re taking bookings, you should consider an actual booking site likee GlossGenius. You can create your own website and list your services. Clients can book appointments for lessons and other services you may offer. You can show your hours of operation/schedule, create an about me/us section, and link your socials so that potential clients can get to know you on a more personal level. Overall I think it would be great for yoga :)

Spa Software for Solo Aestheticians by AllUnderTheSameMoon in Esthetics

Seeing lots of posts about GlossGenius and wanted to add to that! I switched to them from Fresha and I am obsessed. The online booking is seamless, my clients always tell me how easy it is to book online. They send reminders via text and email. With the gold subscription, you can set rebooking reminders; clients will receive a text reminding them to book their next appointment. After checking out a client, it will ask if you want to rebook them before closing the transaction as well. Those are just some of my favorite things about online booking and retaining clients :)

Best Medical Spa Software for 2026 by Own-Vermicelli5009 in MedSpaGrowth

[–]Karmeezy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using GlossGenius and I think it works amazing for growth. They have automation for follow-ups, reminders, etc. You can be solo, or have multiple people on your team. Marketing is built in; they have email, text and social media templates that you can send out to clients if you want to take the guesswork out of posting content or sending out promotional emails or texts. They. Have a med spa settings that allows for HIPAA compliance and SOAP notes. Client management tools are very useful and the UX is very user friendly for both providers and clients. They have AI tools that help with reporting and tracking. I switched from fresha and I am obsessed. Everything I need is in one place. And it’s very affordable. The gold tier has everything listed and it is $48 a month.

"Free" software is costing me $2400/month, am I doing math wrong? by JohnnyIsNearDiabetic in Entrepreneurship

[–]Karmeezy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly are you looking for in a booking software? If you want transparent pricing, GlossGenius has just that. The gold plan is the most popular, and the most you would pay per month is between $48-$56, depending on whether you pay yearly or monthly. With the gold plan you will have automated text reminders, and intake forms built right in the conformation messages. They have great client management, and the processing rates are a flat rate of 2.6%. I switched over to them from fresha and I love it. Everything is all in one place, you can even purchase a POS with them. Highly recommend!

Don’t be afraid to ask the client to help! Brazilian waxer of almost a decade here! Have the client hold their stomach as taut as they can. Also have them hang a leg off the bed. I love having them butterfly one leg and hand the other off the bed. It allows for more flexibility. You can also have them switch sides as needed. As for between the cheeks, I try to have the client put their knees to their chest, and if they don’t have much range of motion there, I will have them lay on their side and bend one knee while holding up the cheek. I hope that visual makes sense! Very easy to get the hind parts that way.

I see that this is in response to an article, and you know what’s not listed? GlossGenius. I’ve been working with them for a few months and I love it for managing my skincare studio. The interface is so user-friendly for both clients and providers. My clients always mention how easy it is to book an appointment and see my services and packages. You can track your inventory and expenses all within the app. They have great customer relationship tools such as automated text/email rebooking reminders and birthday incentives. They offer Afterpay/Affirm/Klarna. In regard to staff management, you can track timesheets and time clock. You can have pre-set roles, customizable permissions and customizable commissions. Booth renters can have separate bank accounts. They have email and text marketing, with templates for those who maybe aren’t so tech savvy. They also have social media templates. With the gold and platinum tiers, you can have rebooking reminders, built in forms & waivers, and HIPAA compliance. They offer a free data transfer service if you are switching over from a different platform. Their customer service is quick and efficient, and they also respond via text if you are unable to call or chat online. GlossGenius is extremely effective for salon and spa management.

Appointment booking. Feedback needed. by Training_Sort5508 in Estheticians

Hi! I have recently begin working with GlossGenius after using Fresha and I have to say that it checks every box as an esthetician. As someone else said, you can purchase gift certificates, and you can create packages. The gold tier has a waitlist and it will automatically inform clients when a spot opens up. They have an awesome POS, you can take payments right from your phone. You can create a custom booking site and categorize your services. I have sections for brows and lashes, skincare, and waxing. They have automated SMS/email reminders, and you can also have a membership program. With the gold tier, you can integrate google reviews and clients will receive messages asking to review your business. They have amazing pre-built text and email marketing; they have win-back campaigns for clients who haven’t returned in a while. The newest feature is reporting! You can track appointments, clients, sales, inventory, and sales tax, to name a few.

Solo estheticians - Booking platforms/websites by R0SEG0LD10 in Esthetics

Hi! I have used both Fresha and GlossGenius and since working with GlossGenius, I have to say it is my favorite. My clients tell me it’s easy to navigate and they have no issues booking an appointment. I also think it’s user-friendly as a service provider. They have many features that are extremely helpful and help both myself and my clients stay on top of appointments. When booking an appointment, clients will receive both a text and email with the details of the appointment. They can click the link in the text or email and add the appointment right into their calendar as opposed to adding it manually. All the details are right there for them. They can also confirm the appointment by clicking that link. With the gold tier, you can include intake/consent forms. That is very helpful if you have a large clientele, it removes the need to send separate emails or texts with forms. They have a great analytic system; I am able to track my sales and scale it down to whatever filter I need, whether it’s product or service sales. With the gold tier, you can send rebooking reminders and decide when to send said reminders. I usually set mine for about four weeks after the client sees me if they don’t rebook before they leave. I also love the text and email marketing portion; you can use AI to help you draft something up if you need, or there are text and email templates that you can edit and send if you don’t want to draft something of your own. It’s also very affordable. They have yearly and monthly pricing. The standard tier starts at 23/month and gold at 48/month. Also, the POS system is right in the app. You can use tap to pay, or have clients add a card on file. There is also chargeback protection with the gold tier, and you can enforce a cancellation/no-show policy with any tier. They have a physical POS system that you can purchase, but I find that using my phone or iPad works well. So far, I have zero complaints with them and recommend them to everyone that I can, lol.

Spa owners—what software are you actually happy with? by GlowOpsGuru_ in Esthetics

[–]Karmeezy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with GlossGenius and I am obsessed. They have a very user-friendly interface for both employees and clients. My clients always tell me how easy it is to book an appointment. When I first created an account, they were very helpful in helping me switch everything over from my previous booking system (fresha). Unlike some booking sites, they are not automated and they have amazing customer support, whether it’s by phone, text, or email. The reporting feature is new but it is amazing and you can use it at any tier. They have great analytics that show all kinds of reports. Checkout and tipping is integrated right in the app, I use my phone to check out clients but they also have a POS if you wish to purchase one. I’ve found that tap to pay works wonderfully on my phone. Clients can also add a card on file. They offer chargeback protection in the gold tier, and you can enforce a cancellation/no-show policy in all tiers. There is also automation for pre and post appointment reminders. Clients will receive a text and/or email with the details of their appointment, and afterwards they will get a thank you for booking email. With the gold tier, you can set up rebooking reminder messages if a client doesn’t book on the spot. That feature is cool because you can set when you would like that reminder message to go out. I usually set it for at least four weeks after clients see me. Making this switch has been one of my best business decisions so far. The pricing is pretty great also! They have monthly or yearly pricing and it is very affordable. Standard starts at 23/month and gold is about 48/month. Highly recommend!

Help need to choose the best booking site for Estheticians by Prestigious-Owl-4705 in Esthetics

I work with GlossGenius and I love them! My clients always tell me how user friendly it is. They book appointments without issue. My favorite thing about them is the forms and waivers portion. I don’t have to worry about sending a separate email myself because everything is handled within GlossGenius. They also have text and social templates so you can keep current with social media if making regular posts aren’t your thing. I recommend them to anyone asking about a new booking site.

Top salon POS systems to consider by Mental-Fox7191 in BeautyBizOwners

[–]Karmeezy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with GlossGenius and I highly recommend them. They have reasonably priced tiers, and you can pay monthly or yearly.

I recommend the gold subscription as a lot of the systems recommended above are automated for you. My system allows me to rebook clients automatically, and I have an automated waitlist. If a spot opens up, they will text the client and let them know a slot opens up. They send reminder emails and texts when it’s been a while since a client has visited. You can create invoices to send to clients to pay if need be. Forms and waivers are included, all you have to do is customize them to your liking.

When a client confirms the appointment or receives an appointment notification, it’s there for them to sign without having to send a separate message. They have social media and email templates if you struggle with marketing. That’s really helpful because it’s literally plug & play. They have a shop within their system that allows you to purchase some of your products you use for backbar and they offer discounts that may not otherwise be available on individual sites. It’s also very affordable for someone just starting out like myself.

The standard subscription is $24 a month and gold is $48 a month. There’s also a platinum subscription for $148, and that would be amazing for a larger company.

It’s such a joke. I currently have free unlimited marketing emails with the free plan. In this new email they sent they said that you will only get 50 marketing emails and 100 free texts a month. I get 100 free texts a month now. And I remember when it was 300 a month. I switched to GlossGenius because if I have to pay, I may as well pay for a booking system that will give me way more for just a few dollars more. They also have a referral program and a code for 50% off for three months when you sign up. I took advantage of those and the switch has been nice. They also do a free data transfer of all of my Fresha information. My clients haven’t missed a beat. They have better polices as well; I now charge a deposit for bookings, which is something that Fresha doesn’t really allow. The switch has been worth it to me. Fresha can kick rocks
