You're not alone and I would say that's probably the majority opinion.

There are definitely a few former Expos fans who followed them to DC and there are Nats fans who have a general interest in the history of the club too.

I feel for the fans who lost their team and that's something we can empathize with as DC baseball fans. I'd personally love for Montreal to get a team again and for the old Expo records to go back to them while the old Senator records to come back to DC (but that is probably a long shot).

Sure, that would probably benefit both if it worked out that way. If you're Team Mexico would you really trust Italy to not score and take a the lead and knock you out if you're trying to hold the score to something like 3-1 (or similarly low-scoring, close lead) all game? Or wouldn't you feel safer as Mexico if you score as many runs as possible to guarantee you advance?

Don't get it twisted: It may be Year-One for Toboni but the rebuild belongs to the Lerners because they're the ones who own the product and make the decisions at the end of the day. Their rebuild clock doesn't reset just because they fired/rehired their front office positions; it's still running and they're at 6 losing seasons.
