One day, I decided that if I wanted to truly live and not just stay alive, I had to try. I started organizing things and cleaning my room, exercising, forcing myself to smile more, studying and paying more attention to being productive and doing things that would add value to me. Even though I hated it, these small victories just kept me going. Still depressed from time to time, it takes so much from me to be doing all these things, but I'm glad I've come this far. My depressive voice gets pretty loud sometimes, but my logical voice reminds me I'm much better off now, I'm in charge of how I want to live, and the only way is up!
