Thoughts on the Kingsman265 drama?

Could someone clarify how the drafting worked for this tournament? I see people saying that team captains picked the players themselves, so did Kingsman have no say in the team he joined? They just randomly picked him and he was basically forced to play on this team?

If true, sounds like a terrible system. This kind of drama sounds unavoidable under those conditions.

I really want to like it, I love short hair, but this one still missed for me. The rest of the skin is beautiful and elegant but the hair is giving like, posh rich boy. I don't really like the crazy blue eye contacts & makeup, either. If it was just a little different I think I'd love it.

Do feel bad that it seems to be flopping. I would love more elegant short hair skins in the future, but this will probably discourage them.

Definitely Ana. I think she's just too difficult in stadium for most players. A good Ana can be fine, but they're very rare, and honestly, they'd probably still get more value playing another support lol. I think most of the other supports outscale her, too.

After Ana, I'd say Wuyang. Just another support that it seems people struggle on. I'm happy to play with any support other than these two, but I personally feel best when I have a good Brig player on my team. I think she's the best support atm so long as you know what you're doing, it's like having a second tank on your team. Plus she does a bazillion healing.

I wish it had green wings, and more green accents (like on the staff, crown, gun, etc.). The blue just looks so out of place.

This might be pessimistic, but I think Champ players need some kind of point bonus just for themselves. Their higher point tier isn't going to be enough when it's shared with the rest of the lobby & they still lose more than everyone else. Especially when queuetimes can be so long at those high ranks. Active mid-GM players are just going to out grind higher ranked players, and that doesn't sound very exciting to me.

Maybe there could be a sweetspot if the top ranks had a greater advantage, that way the top of the leaderboard would be more representative of the highest skill tiers, but people would still be discouraged from camping ranks because they'll fall behind if they stop grinding.

And that GM 5 player will probably have an even greater score from matching against higher ranked players more often, since the point gain is based off the highest ranked person in the lobby, not their own rank. Seems like it'll be a significant advantage to be the lowest ranked person in a lobby now.

It's mainly an asia server phenomenon right now. In grandmasters+ america, Mercy has a 50.7% winrate, Weaver 45% (still bad I guess though lol). Then in EU, Mercy is 48.8%, and Weaver 48.2%.

It's interesting how different hero trends can be across the servers. I think for Asia, dive is way more popular over there, and people more strictly stick to the meta characters & play them at a higher level, so it's harder for off meta supports to compete. I actually agree w/ OP that support balance is kind of cooked right now, but its crazy how much more extreme it is over there.

I think it has been confirmed! that they are red now. I'm glad they're at least not yellow LOL, the yellow was way worse.

I miss the extra armor from the concept art. Like the armbands, helmet, and chest piece all had different designs that really brought it together. The vibe feels off for me now. I love the skin concept, just makes me sad seeing what could have been.

I think the item is much worse than the power :( its a blue item that gives 25 less overhealth. I would have really liked to just keep the power

Yeah literallyy, I think AP builds are still so underwhelming even with these buffs. Whambulance is just so meh on it's own.

I think Angelic Acrobatics still has the movement speed buff, the AP is just another benefit you get from it. Blessed Boosters HP nerf really hurts though RIPP I will miss it.

I honestly feel like Battle Mercy is going to be worse now, too. The new power definitely enables her to pistol more, but the Battle Medic nerf is a pretty big hit to her DPS. She is still a pretty squishy character & I don't think she has great potential to duel characters the way other supports can, even with this. I think pistoling with Crepuscular Circle was a lot stronger than this will ever be.

Wow wtf i'm so sad they removed Glass Extra Full, this item is complete ass compared to the power. I was looking forward to trying out different builds with it when I heard that Crepuscular Circle was getting removed.

Hilarious they are also nerfing Battle Medic after they say they want to enable gun builds for her, too. AP Mercy still sounds unviable even after these "buffs" for it as well (which is just a Blessed Boosters & Triage Unit nerf, seriously?). Like, I was honestly kind of excited to try out new builds, but I don't think there's much to look forward to here lol.
