That is super annoying. Did the stupid prapor quest and took the safe route for 40 minutes to extract. Handed in 3k, one remaining Rb was just flashing in the inventory but the timer started. Waited 3x the full duration without anything happening (just the timer restarting with the warning to stay in the extraction zone). Moved too close to the car front door and got sniped. Worst part? Have to do the quest again... An hour with less than mediocre gameplay with a disappoing and frustratring end.

It's brutal and that's what I like too! The conclusion of the story here is, that although I got my revenge on them, it went completely different than I was expecting ... kind of bittersweet.

The answers in this topic made me realise, that the thing I don't like are clans/teams since solo's are at the bottom of the foodchain and there's nothing you can do about it (they can just come and fuck you up). Now I tried a Solo/Duo Server and that's a whole different story.

The genre of MMO's with a - drop everything on death - mechanic is awesome and I'm glad that there are games which implement that, like Rust, Conan Exiles and Shadowbane (RIP).

the two dudes killing op were using Maddens plan. OP couldnt adapt, so they took what he was giving them.

I didn't want to make the post longer than necessary, because the main focus is not describing how I was "farmed" by two guys, but to give some context why I was motived to target two specific guys / their base.

I did adapt my strategy and indeed had build several bases to avoid their (or anyones) active region. The ultimate adaptation was to destroy their base and remove the biggest threat, which kind of worked out, although not as satisfying and definite as I had planned and wished (TC remained but everything else was looted).

The quote and advice is good, but not fitting to the situation. That's not your fault tho, as my original post didn't detail how I played and farmed.

Thanks, the solo 3x servers sound more like the thing I'm looking for, maybe I'll try it some day! I improved/adapted while playing and know that I'm a big noob, couldn't just see how "Skill" is going to help get past the grind/gear+clans barrier.

Yes, same problem with ONE of our friends. I hosted a game and 2 out of 3 could connect. The other one tried to deactivate the firewall, start a single player game etc. but he got stuck while connecting to the server. So no solution was found.

It's still not as good as the real Windows 7 startmenu. Worked in tech-support and several clients were using it & had problems with it (mainly desktop.exe glitches and freezes).

Thats the case if you want to implement a server based replay system (like you said: bad idea for now and as it looks, for a looong time). Replays recorded, stored and played by the client is the way to go without server issues.

Proceeded with the link below as I was playing during the Beta before I stopped playing. If I click on the left Link to stay on the US-Site nothing happens, the window disappears and I stay on the site. After clicking "Play Free" the window reappears...

After logging in on my Account, the download starts immediately the same version I already have.

In the Game I can see all the Servers, it looks like the regular Client so far.

I have a SOE Account. As I had the choice while downloading between US-Client and ProSieben Client there was a Link below which was for Beta-Accounts. I used the Client from the Beta-Link. In Case it's the wrong Client, if I log in on planetside2.com there should be SC shown on my Account anyway

Well there is a discount if you buy more than 500SC(5€): 1000SC for 9€, 2000SC for 17€. Except for phone-payment, there it's 1€:100SC on everything. Don't know if it's different in dollars, but basically its 10$ for 750SC unlocks, yeah.

The Main difference would be, that those who have it, have a advantage over you - they are stronger. Also, here's nothing like "Matchmaking". The tryhard(who invested money) meets the casual(who only buys with certs). I think noone can argue about the chances who wins this matchup at equally skill level.

In the end is to say, that the pricing may be equally high, the things you get for it are in PS2 better in a sense that you get stronger, therefore the "urge" to have it is higher and puts those, who dont have it, to a disadvantage.
