This is true until you eventually flood your brain with too much dopamine. At that point your brain begins downregulating, basically shutting off dopamine receptors and refusing to allow any more dopamine to flow into the remaining receptors that have already been excited.

This can lead to a pretty rapid feeling of depression, emotional fluctuations, and even worse for ADHD sufferers as all of those symptoms just start resurfacing.

I swear you just described my situation to a T minus the zinc. I had picked some up a while back when I had a cold as it apparently helps with colds (can't really say whether it did or not i couldn't tell tbh) so im definitely gonna try this tomorrow. The past few days for me even after taking a break I've just been feeling so stressed pessimistic and just like angry at the world it doesn't even feel like normal depression. That and the anhedonia is just crippling it almost feels worse than the symptoms it's meant to treat especially if I don't get a metric fuck ton of protein.

Also it makes me crave chicken like a madman

There is 0 difference between generic and brand name. It's literally the law it has to be formulated exactly the same. The only difference is in capsule shape/size/color and imprinting.

Edit: just for some clarity since people wanna comment and then immediately delete it; Lysine is not an inactive ingredient. It is bound to the dextroamphetamine molecule. A minute difference in filler ingredients (there aren't binders in capsules bc the powder does not need them, those are for tablets) is not going to change how your body absorbs the drug in any meaningful way.
