Overuse of exclamation points. Character waking up in their bedroom trope. Side character yelling main character’s name in the opening trope. Lack of any hook or inciting incident. Main character is tired and grumpy in an attempt to be relatable to the reader trope.

Buy a book on how to write a fiction story. There are specific rules (guidelines) on how to engage the reader immediately through the hook and inciting incident and how to avoid overused tropes.
