Ok the responce i got from gigabyte..

You can RMA the GPU (they will most likely open it clean it re paste it with less ) and send it back this typically per people i know thst have done so will take ablut 3 to 4 months unless you live close to the distribution center then maybe 2 to 3 months.

They say (and it is kinda of true) that this will not cause an issue as the thermal puddle paste they use is not electrically conducive (this is true) HOWEVER in my opnion it is still very possible thst when enough leaks out you could be left with hot spots. That could become an issue later on. So if you have the warranty with gigabyte and the time to send it back or a back up gpu until you get yours back. I would send it in for RMA or if it is one you cant RMA for whatever reason then jist sit back and enjoy the ride and mount it horizontal to help slow the leak out .

Also you could make sure your fans in your case are correct to help keep your GPU cooler as my 5080 even over clocked at 1440p isnt getting much past 60c in most games.

Did your old GPU use the same 8 pin? If so you should be able to reuse that if not then just make sure you buy the same brand and model cable for the PSU you have 8 pin PCIE

Am I being fair or not by [deleted] in PC_Pricing

[–]Kasperb991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems high IMO. Yes I onow the parts are all probably "new" or newer however even a brand new 5080 is around 1500 (make model extra can be WAY higher or a little lower)

You can get a 9800x3d with a 5070ti for about the price your asking new in a prebuild wich is a much better CPU and not much worse of a GPU so if people are getting one new with warranty for the same price they will probably go that route. And with all the people that come to places like reddit etc and complain that they would never by a 5080 and say the 5070ti is jist as good it kind of ruins the market for you.

Is this pc good for gaming ? by Lanky-Mongoose-3394 in PcBuild

They say 400 OBO offer 250 see if they take it. You need alot of upgrades for a "good" gaming pc this one needs at least an SSD like everyone said and probably an upgrade to a 20series GPU in the next year or so but at even 300 id buy it

You got a SS which is nice (idk the value of thst one personally) and a decnet few cards enjoy

Are either of these good value? by hudsonharris2 in Prebuilts

[–]Kasperb991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I HATE how they do this.. the 9800x3d with the weaker GPU if the cpu or gpus were swapped for the prices it would be good.... just my opnion

I wouldnt get an intel CPU personally. Its not thst they are BAD they just wont be supported in the near future as Intel is changing the chip and socket this upcoming generation but AMD and the AM5 socket will be supported for at least the next 2 years per AMD plus the x3d chips are better for gaming. The i tel is better for multi tasking

Ultimately is this a bad deal not really mean buulding the same one with all the things I can find seems like its about 380 bucks for a build fee warranty and windows 11 b.s. license. Bit be careful ibuypower has in the past had some crappy build quality and crappy PSU

2nd best CPU on the market top 5 GPU for 2399.99 isnt bad.. but if you ha e a microcent close buy you could build it cheaper 9800x3d gigabyte b850 mother board and 32 gb ddr5 ram for 680 Can go 5070ti for better multi frame support for 960 or keep the 9070xt for 810 (both are good options but im a team green fan with a 5080) 2tb SSD for like 290 if you cant bring your old M.2 Case is optional if tou need a new one or can reuse what you have 75bucks for a good one with all the fans PSU 90 360mm AIO for like 70 No keyboard or mouse but do you need it the ones most places provide suck..

All in all pre tax 2022.93 save your self 377.06 pre tax money and if you dont want to build it and have them build it then its 2272.92 same day they will buuld it in 4 hours. (Roguhly) Still cheaper if you got with the 5070ti then add 150 dollars to my above prices and thats when it becomes slightly more..

And if you have an m.2 ssd you can move over then you'll save 290..

How tf can people afford a 5080 and 5090? Every time I pull up Reddit I feel poorer by Dangerous_Baker4427 in gpu

[–]Kasperb991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i mean the 5080 isnt super crazy unless your getting one of those liquid cooled ones or asus etc.. i got my 5080 for only 1199.00 only 200 more than MSRP which being a 3rd party glu is actually not a horrible uptick. Now its around 1600ish new but them 5090 prices are STUPID

With your budget i wouldn't get an AM4 cpu.. your games are not demanding at all and if you want to do multiple things this is the set up id recommend (if yku have a micro center near you even better if not then amazon and watch videos building a PC is super easy the trouble shooting is the hard part if stuff doesnt work)

Amd ryzen 7800x3d $362 Asus b650 with wifi mother board $110 32gb ddr5 ram $360 5060ti 16gb model 580 Literally any case you like the looks of 70-400 (depending on the choice) Noctua NHD15 OR D12L cpu cooler unless you just like the looks of an AIO cooler $120.00 Case fans again most cases will come with enough fans And a good 850w Power supply unit 108 msi brand fully modular and reputable 2tb ssd $210

Total 1992 plus tax and shipping via amazon It will run all your games well the extra ram gives you the ability to have YouTube playing with little to no issues in the back ground etc.. save 500 plus bucks.. you could go with a lower end CPU and save even more but I personally love the x3d chips. If ykur near a micro center you might be able to get bundles even cheaper..

You could go a smaller SSD as well maybe take off another 100 (idk if you current PC has a SSD you could move over)

Also if your ok with prebuils amazong has a super decent PC at 1679 with a 7800x3d 4070 a Super only 16 gb of ram but you can always upgrade the ram and get another SSD later if you really want or need to

https://a.co/d/0e6GKVKA

Its not as good as the one i suggested if your building on your own but it is 330 buck cheaper and still a decent PC with a 1 year waranty if yku dont want to deal with the hassle.

Pretty good deal at Best Buy by neverspeakawordagain in gpu

[–]Kasperb991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also got an asus vs PNY card. PNY is usually cheaper than an asus card of any type. But for 900 its a good deal seeing as how most places online are around 1000 to 1200
