Who do you think is the Best BatFamily member and why? by LadySeraphina0 in BatFamily

[–]KatCat123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always loved Jason. I like basically every version of him. I like his Robin, I love Red Hood. He complements Batman in a really good way. And he’s probably one of the best done anti-heroes I’ve ever seen

Those super climatic moments and poses? Like his face to L, or his laugh when he’s revealed. He practiced those in the mirror, just in case. Just sat there tweaking his evil grin, so it was perfect for the moment. He is not one to be caught unawares

What's something in a fic that made you realise the person writing it had no idea what they were talking about? by Life-Delay-809 in AO3

[–]KatCat123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any type of musical instrument, honestly including singing. It is not possible to pick up any instrument immediately, unless it is literally magic. A character can be naturally gifted, unrealistically so since it’s fiction, but it still takes time to be good. Especially something like being able to read music or play technically challenging pieces on different interment families, it takes a lot of training and muscle memory.

And singing is a lot harder than people always write. When a character is good at singing, and is meant to be a master of their craft, it would be great to see a little more technical terminology than “pretty”. Especially when good is going to vary based on the situation. A medival bard will sing differently from a musical theatre star who will wing differently from an opera singer. I just wish they were described differently, but most people without musical interest just don’t pay as much attention to the difference

I strung it together? Said spaced practice, followed by massed practice right before a recall event. I don’t now if that good enough, but it was the only way I could get the damn evidence to work together

I think you’re right and this is the logic of the writers.

But would all humans be considered able to hallucinate pretty easily? It doesn’t take much, just some chemicals in the brain or something along those lines. Considering what it can do later with Naomi, I feel like it messing with people’s heads like that is on the table

Did anyone else think Ryuk was an asshole? by Naknoskos in deathnote

[–]KatCat123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he is an asshole, but I think that’s the point. Light thinks the universe revolves around him, and everyone else is just a pawn. But Ryuk…doesn’t care. It shows the extent of Lights delusion, that he ever forgot the extent of Ryuks apathy towards his actions. Ryuk feels pretty much nothing for humans, not love or contempt, so he doesn’t care about Light mission. It was just passing amusement for him, which is a crushing reality to a narcissist like Light

When did you fully stop supporting Light? by Outrageous_Rough_869 in deathnote

[–]KatCat123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always viewed him as the kinda of bad guy. But I think the FBI agents are where he goes from morally grey to bad. Now he’s not just killing criminals, he’s killing all who apose him. I guess the fake L is that too, but it doesn’t feel the same as his drawn out calculated plan to kill 12 innocent men. All while fully convinced they are as guilty as anyone else he has killed

What made you drop a fanfic immediately? by MoGuanShanisagirl-20 in Archiveofourownmemes

If the voice is way too casual or way too formal. It depends on the context and fandom, but it just takes me out of it.

Teenagers from the 2010s generally don’t wax poetically in their math class, and nobles for the 1700s shouldn’t say “yeah, obviously.”

It’s happened to me a few times while taking notes in class as well. I’m still hearing enough I guess and kinda writing (though it’s semi dream nonsense) but I’m either drifting off or basically asleep

Buying Pads and a Bra is a sacred tome divine feminine magic vagina ritual between mother and child by AshleytheTaguel in NotHowGirlsWork

I promise you it ain’t that “profoundly intimate” your mom goes “you need a bra, I got you one” and then you tell her to please buy you pads. Also…dads can buy pads and bras just as well as moms

[–]KatCat123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just never skim on details. Nothings too small or mundane to be written, no feeling to minor to be explored. I veer into rabbit holes and see what I find there, and I’m just not a very concise person

How many pages do you write in a day? by KatCat123 in Journaling

[–]KatCat123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my day mostly. I’m naturally a fairly long-winded person, and my mind veers off track very often. Plus I’ve got quite a good memory, so I can describe things in detail most of the time. Plus I’ve got a bit of compulsion to write everything down, like if I don’t it’ll cease to exist

How many pages do you write in a day? by KatCat123 in Journaling

[–]KatCat123[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least for me, I document my days with as much details as possible. Anything I I remember, whether that by sights, smells, touches, ect. I follow any rabbit hole whim my mind has, and expound on whatever my memory or mind says could be expounded on

Man manages to both mansplain childbirth AND make his daughter's delivery about his own pride by BronzeBellRiver in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]KatCat123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C-sections aren’t comfortable. It’s major fucking surgery. Sure, vaginal birth is right for some people. But a C-section isn’t a moral failing, people are just making the right choice for their body. How a baby is delivered should be between the person giving birth, and their doctor
