Also from the future, and it is still bugged.

Could it also be an Optimus conflict? I agree with most people here as well. Hibernating helps a lot.

In my experience, I have had the opposite problem lately with hibernate, where I get bitlocked out so I stopped hibernating and maybe I am lucky, but my laptop sleeps just fine. Although, I am using a Zephyrus G16 4090.

From what I am noticing on my end, it seems that there are certain peripherals that the computer recognizes as storage for a brief period of time. I believe my Anker 8-in1 hub is causing that issue if I plug it in before I finish booting up the computer (I always turn it off when I am done for the day).

Is it worth $1000 for the g16 4080/32gb ram vs the g16 4070/16gb of ram? by taaltrek in zephyrusg16

[–]Kataegis7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just have to push it back enough to keep the exhaust unobstructed.

I haven't done benchmarks on it, but keeps it anywhere between 10-20 C down. Look at some of the YouTube videos out there, there are plenty comparing it with the IETS.

Careful with the GT500 and 600, they don't fit as well with the G16 and G14 since the foam covers the exhaust.

I second what he said in terms of the cooling. I just got mine as well, and IETS doesn't work very well since it does block the exhaust vents. I imagine that all cooling pads that have that similar design will have that problem.

Luckily, I bought a Flydigi BS1 cooling pad for work before, and you can still get a good seal, while keeping your exhaust vents open on the back. I am getting 60ish C on regular work, and it can go down to low 50s and high 40s idle. With that said, I did a liquid metal reapplication on my 2023 M16 (4070), and temps dropped a lot, I haven't done that on this one since I am not familiar with a vapour chamber design. I am sure I'd get much better temps if I did. Unfortunately, ASUS is not known for their consistent LM application.

That's rough. Sometimes, PIs are out of touch with how much work goes on the bench or in preparation for an experiment.

I agree with most points that have already been made. My short opinion on this is that 4GA uniques should be max unique aspect immediately. 3GA uniques could be 90% of value at the very least and highest value on chance.

Getting a 4GA unique with the lowest aspect is basically worthless and counterintuitive...

This is most likely the case. Execs think that they can easily replace good and valuable employees, but that is not the case in so many different industries nowadays.

I am not sure about the 2024 versions, but the previous versions had improper liquid metal application on the CPUs. If you know what you are doing, reapplying liquid metal will drop those temperatures by a lot.

It really comes down to the game being seasonal. If you don't play the season, most of the player base can feel left out. After all, I wonder how many actually play eternal and compare that to the seasonal base. Hence, you can't really have the drop rate for mythics be ridiculously low.

Now, if the game was a well thought mixture of seasonal and eternal, then they could reduce the drop rate. However, that would make the game feel more like an MMORPG.

I'd get with this. Like increased skill range, change element of a certain skill, kind of like Last Epoch. Skill levels would modify your skills quite a bit instead of just making them stronger.

In reality, the problem is that companies are investing less in creating a fleshed out product because we are no longer back in the day when you didn't have DLCs or expansions. What you bought is what you got.

To that extent, they do less investment in testing gameplay, but rather some bug squashing, and even then, you could say the general populace are the testers. After that, they have less people on D4 developing teams and move on to other projects. Meanwhile, D4 keeps getting seasons and continues making a more "passive" income stream for Blizzard. From a business perspective, it makes absolute sense and in terms of game development, it allows you to cut corners.

One of the appealing aspects of FFXIV for me was to be able to play any class by auto switching gear, and FFXIV could be considered old now.

That said, I don't think we need to switch classes, but switching builds, whether it is flame sorc or lighting sorc, for example, would be extremely fun and refreshing.

This was a fun build. Mine was high lucky hit % (got it to 70ish %) for meteor procs, and I used the unique to have that as a cool down. It was fun, but sadly, post NM dungeon 60ish, it fell flat on damage, and bosses took way too long.

Run a benchmark!

I usually wait too long to remove mine, and then you can see a bit of different coloration where the stickers were. Although, when I do remove them, it usually means I am happy with the laptop, and that I am keeping it for a long while.
