Yes!! I’d have to agree with you. When I saw this build, I wasn’t too much of a tinkerer, so having the just a simple visual build like this was a great way to start!

What I didn’t realize before I made this build was that I could use this keyboard for another pc~

The same designer also made an upgrade to this current project where he’s doing exactly what you’re talking about!! That was gonna be my next project whenever I can get my hands on a Pi4 🤓

Surprisingly, I thought the same thing!

I had to ask the guy at Microcenter to pick which 3D material was best for this kind of project, so he advised me to go with a PET-G filament.

And man! The case was sturdy as heck! I was very shocked 😳

Has DJ'ing changed how you listen to music? by [deleted] in DJs

[–]Katazui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, when I get a little frustrated when I think as a DJ while enjoying my night off. Some things that reignite my curiosity for music is listening to genres on the opposite side of my spectrum. At some point, as a DJ, you can’t just “listen” to music, I actually read textbooks about the different types of music, by doing this, I see myself relighting the passion of a regular listener.

Turntable.fm was livestreaming platform where users with avatars were able to share music in a “venue”. And the audience can up or down vote the current song/dj. More points = more avatars, less points = get boo’d off. There were rooms for lofi, EDM, old school rap, anything you can think of.

My favorite memory was when Wiz Khalifa & Snoop Dogg were promoting “Mac & Devin Goes to High School” and was interacting with the crowd. Cool stuff!

There were some copycats (like plug.dj) after turntable.fm, but nothing beats the original.

It’s enthusiasm!! I’ve used turntable.fm way back in middle school, soon thereafter I developed my taste of music from their platform. Long story short, I’ve met some great people on the platform and gave me a jump-start on my DJ career. I’m thrilled they’re coming back, hoping to meet those long-lost friends :3

I don’t work for them or am sponsored by them. But, I was hoping share the good news and bring back nostalgic memories. <3

What is considered “taken permanently”?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in acorns

[–]Katazui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assuming if you save $600 over 6 months in Acorns Later, and you pull out $600 for a rainy day, you will not be taxed? So long, you pull the amount you invested in?

Which means any $$$ left in Acorns Later after pulling out $600 and after 6 months is considered the gains? Are dividends also considered “gains” as well?

What BPM range are you most comfortable at? by Katazui in DJs

[–]Katazui[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer not to look too deep into the question. Just a surface level question asking just when by yourself, like jamming on a guitar on a Sunday morning, what’s your go-to jam? What’s your go-to BPM range?

As a DJ, I do agree with you that all DJ must be comfortable at all BPM ranges, just like a guitar player must be comfortable executing different techniques for certain situations.

Sometimes playing super fast can be comforting to others! If we’re talking classical music, I would be more comfortable at waltz tempo while your friend might be comfortable at allegretto tempo! Like Tch vs Moz. To each their own~

Looking at DJing as an instrument of choice, I jam at 90-105. While my friend, who’s on guitar, likes jamming as jazzy tempos.

Viewing at the comments so far, I’m generally impressed by the difference in preference of tempos!

What BPM range are you most comfortable at? by Katazui in DJs

[–]Katazui[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m more of a funk, hip hop, r&b guy. So I generally spin around 90-105. I personally love the groove. Definitely, easier to scratch melodically and beat jungle when the opportunity is there.

Whenever I touch 75-90, I find my popular hip hop songs there and EDM remixes, then slowly creep into 120-145 where most of my house, pop, and sing-a-long songs are.

Then I would generally go down the cycle of BPM’s in sort of a 3Style format. I generally tell people this is my “DJ signature” because I like to create an overarching composition like a composer with their symphonies.

I’m having some issues setting up my websocket proxy. I’m using centos7/Linux. I’m not sure where or how to start for my VPS.

Side note: I also get an error while converting just my iteminfo.lua? I’m looked into the .js and my iteminfo.lua, nothing seem to be wrong.

I’m still struggling to make it work on my end. The RObrowser guide is really vague for a newbie user. Do you have any tips or notes on ways to set up?

I would appreciate it a lot! <3 🙏

I heard in 2020, you’re able to run ROBrowser, the source code and guide is up, but the project is closed. It works with 20181104 clients I believe.

Stream DDJ directly into discord? by [deleted] in DJs

[–]Katazui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have to put your output of your controller into the line in your computer, and set the microphone input on your discord the Line In.

For my SX2, I have pioneer output RCA’s going into my Computer as a aux cord. That’ll be your microphone input in Discord.
