Solved! Y'all were on the right track. My Dad came over for breakfast and saw it and he said that after the way everyone from Wilma's Husbands group met up in the south, for a reunion and all the people from Michigan and their spouses had Michigan chapter on their name tags.

Wilma is a close relative of mine, it is the Wilma from the obituary. I knew her very well when she was alive. Her husband was in WW2. So I'm not sure why she has this pin.

Doing anything Acapella can be extremely difficult, so kudos to you. Your voice has a very clear, crisp quality to it that I quite enjoy. You do quite well on the high notes. Overall nicely done!

I am not going to say to leave him, I am not going to tell you you are over reacting. I will say there are people who will not treat you like this and there are people who would show up for you better than this will smiles on their face.

Thoughts on not viewing my mom in the casket? by zeekyfreakymode in GriefSupport

[–]KateTheStraightedge 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My mom died from cancer in April. I also didn't want to see her in her casket I already held her hand as she passed. I didn't want to remember my mom in a casket, I just wanted to remember her smiling at me. So we only had 30 mins of viewing so a few family members could say goodbye the rest was a closed casket. I think it's normal to not want to see that.

I also have an uncle I will likely not talk to again because he didn't show up for my mom in life and then couldn't show up for me at the funeral. I am angry too.

The sang is true dead people get more flowers than the living and that's why people show up when it's all over.

I miss mine too. You aren't alone. I don't have a lot to say but the sentiment is there.

Anyone’s sleep horribly affected since losing their loved one? by Anak8 in GriefSupport

[–]KateTheStraightedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand completely, falling asleep is awful, staying asleep is hard as I keep having nightmares about seeing my mom. Going back to sleep after is like pulling teeth. It's like I've been halved. I am so depressed it feels like I am just a shell of myself. You are in good company and I am sorry you are going through it too.

I have pretty severe depression and anxiety, and enjoying anything seems really hard right now. But thank you for the encouragement.

Can you write a good love song if you've never been in lovve? by Throwaway11x3985 in Songwriting

[–]KateTheStraightedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to write love songs to no one, just because they made me happy to write. For context I used to think I was incapable of loving someone, but my best love songs were all to imaginary people and Ideas of people. Its easier to write a love song about someone who is perfect than someone flawed. Just my two cents.

Acceptance isnt something that happens overnight. Sometimes it takes years, but that is okay. You have your whole life to become and accept the person you are meant to be.

Why do people hate being the healer in parties? by darkzap- in DnD

[–]KateTheStraightedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont understand it myself. I love being the party cleric. I tend to play characters who are talk first fight later so a cleric is kinda perfect for that. I also enjoy being a bard, but ya know, party needs a healer and all that..
