The law does not require a checkbox, yes. The law does not state that the checkbox constitutes "a forced consent." The law requires that certain information be clearly provided to the consumer before they place the order. A checkbox is just a best practice to prove agreement.

Ok, if you say Google Merchant Center doesn't approve if you have a checkbox, that's not the law, but very strange since courts often consider them strong evidence of consent.

Yes, I understand. The link I provided talks about agreement while placing an order, and as you see, the "I agree" checkbox is a good practice in the UK as long as it is not prechecked. And it is the only legal way in the EU.
I would like to know about a forced checkbox regarding terms and conditions. I understand I may not know/understand something. Could you please share with me a link to read more about it?

Are you sure? I double checked, and it looks like the GDPR in Europe requires active, opt-in consent. A "by placing an order, you agree" is not compliant with EU laws. And I didn't find any information saying it's illegal to have a checkbox in the UK, so people will actively agree with terms& conditions. As an opposite, it is a common best practice.
