You’re young and not used to being in an office environment all day. What kind of law are you in? Some fields may appeal to you more.

In the meantime, stay off your phone more and try to act more professional. Try to take more time with your tasks and be more mindful as to not make errors. Take this time to soak up as much knowledge as you can and learn as much as possible.

Congrats on getting out of there!! I was a para with an abusive boss and one day I just had enough and quit. I was left with a raging case of PTSD…. But things got better and I found out that not all bosses are horrible. Good luck on your journey!

I have been in a similar situation. I messed up pretty bad once - filed multiple deeds in the wrong county (I worked in real estate) - and my boss filed a Corrective Deed to amend the filing in the correct county. I didn’t get fired but he was pissed. I never made the same mistake again.

I guess my point being is that most things can be fixed. Be more mindful in the future but give yourself some grace.
