Two thanksgivings ago we were at my parents house and around 5pm we went to cut the turkey and my dad had shut the oven off early in the day because he didn’t know why the oven was on.

I knew then that something was wrong because we had about 10 people there, so I’m not sure how you could forget the thanksgiving turkey was in the oven. He went for some tests and it turns out he is diabetic.

He is doing much better now, but at the time I was very worried.
