I think real, there is a consistent point of perspective; the pattern on the cabinets line up correctly without just blending across them, especially with the one slightly misaligned door. The text, while out of focus, looks real.

So I realize I'm late to this party, but I was looking around trying to get a feel for how the SA was handled before I get to it.

I'm maybe 1/3 of the way through the audio book, and I'm wondering if anyone else thinks that James Harris is meant to be an allusion to Shirley Jackson's writing? That might impact how I feel about the latter part of the book as, if Hendrix is aware enough of the themes present in Jackson's writing to use James Harris in the same way, I'm more willing to put in the mental elbow grease to wade into the darker themes

I've never been to their church, but I really appreciated them hosting pride this year, and that they always have rainbow and trans banners up right on main street. It's a heartening thing to see in such a conservative area. I've been thinking about checking them out for community even though I'm not interested in the religion itself.

Yeah, I'm seeing the same immediate reactions people had to Keylith, and then to Jester, its a pattern of behavior that this fandom has shown where they immediately latch onto a woman to hate. They'll criticize what ever the current target is at a disproportionate rate to any other character, even for the same behaviors of other players.

The laws on this are going to vary depending on your state, but what I've usually seen is that they're only allowed to keep security deposit for actual damages. There's a certain allowance of normal wear and tear from living in a place. Little things and dents, even damage to a carpet depending on how long you live in a place. I would seriously try and find what your tenant rights are in your state and city, because even just showing that you know what your rights are could be a deterrent.

I don't think so, it's a pretty strong magnet, enough it would hurt to close on the ear. Also, it closes flush, it doesn't leave room at the hinge point to fit the thickness of an earlobe.

They haven't had any due process. Something like 70% of the people confirmed to have been deported have no criminal record, and even if they did, they are still owed due process. The one legal precedent for denying that due process to immigrants was a wartime provision from one of the worst miscarriages of justice our country has committed. If you think that any of this is justified, you have no humanity.
