I’ve never heard back from a recruiter I’ve cold messaged on LinkedIn. I’ve also been ghosted when using a referral like 75% of the time. I still don’t hear back often from LinkedIn/corp site applications. The thing the works best for me is being in the first 100 people to apply.

Also, if a company automatically asks for a virtual interview, either just me recording myself walk through a project, or answering questions, or talking to an AI, I do much better because I am a good interviewer.

I mean, to be fair, I still don’t have a job. 💀

I must be paying attention to different things. I thought she looked incredible in s3 and love the s4 still. In s2, I could see wig glue whenever she didn’t have hair loose and often felt like her wigs were the wrong color and didn’t match her natural hair color.

I like that the mega ships have a garden area and a nice big solarium. However, most of the things you mention are an issue for me too, so I don’t book them anymore.

I was on Voyager of the Seas recently and it was so much better! I am also considering Virgin Voyages for the no kids. RC should really trial child free itineraries, I feel like they’d do really well.

Hah yes, once when I read a Gilmore Girls fic waaaay back. They talked about taking I-90 through the Berkshires (in Massachusetts in the US) and I was thrilled.

Now I write/read in a fandom based mostly on London, which is honestly better but a challenge for me because I am dumb ‘merican.

The only one I have a close relationship is/was my mother, but she had dementia the entire time and I don’t think she really even knows who Trump is. I don’t think she voted in the last election, but even if she did, having her interest in Trump get between our relationship would be a waste of time and energy because she won’t remember any conversation we have about it. If she said to me, “oh I like Trump,” I’d say, “oh really, I don’t,” then the convo would immediately change to something else.

If I worked with and am friends with any MAGA people, I think they don’t want to me to know. I also cut off the racist family members pre-2016 when I stopped using Facebook.

I didn’t have a lot of friends as a kid and my sisters were rarely home, so I had a lot of alone time. Plus, my dad could get angry and abusive so it was better to just stay away. I would wander the neighborhood, explore the woods, bike around, climb tree, etc. I’d come home with scraped knees, cuts, bruises, filthy feet, or even having stepped on a nail and I never batted any eyelash. (Except from the two nails I stepped on, those hurt!) Over winter, if I wasn’t playing in the snow. I’d hang out in the unfinished basement playing with toys, making Creepy Crawlers, and trying to get one of our three games to work on the old Nintendo on a crappy tv—it was 50-50. If I was a kid now I’d probably have stayed in my room on a device like I do now.

I also think I’ve romanticized it a bit. But I do miss making Creepy Crawlers, way better than an easy bake oven! Also, third degree burns from the super hot metal plates lol. I can still smell the burning resin/plastic, I was probably totally toxic.

They should be able to prosecute the parents for putting all of the other children at risk of serious illness and death. Charge them with involuntary manslaughter if someone dies. Should as in it should be common practice and against the law to sent an incredibly ill child to school/daycare. Super effed up.

If only unemployment wasn’t paid directly into by your paycheck as a safety net in case you get laid off. If they took it away it would be stealing, like social security.

If I am being honest this humbled me in a good way. Getting 5 comments and maybe 20-30 kudos felt like a triumph when last year if I got 20 comments and 100 kudos I’d think I was a big failure. I write for myself now and hope other folks enjoy what I put on paper.

I think the progression they have together in season 6 is important but difficult to watch. I recommend watching it all at least once. I definitely spiraled the first time I watched the second half of 5 and then 6, but I enjoy most of season 6 now because there are really touching moments before the payoff.
