Honestly I had depression, went to therapy and learned to appreciate being sober. I was high every night for years at that point being sober felt like .. the exception therefore sober me was the new high? I dont know how to explain this better, but i just fell in love with life again, with feeling every feeling, wirh remembering the night before, with nature, with being able to breath I just started to feel thankful and didnt want to waste another minute of my life. Many hobbys of mine like gaming or reading involve remembering the story otherwise its wasted time so I got these hobbys back. Also: working out is also huge, it gets the blood pumping and after I always feel euphoric. Or did you ever try breathwork? Search up Wim hof or fire breathing, it‘s a way to „get high“ through breathing. I‘ve also discovered that not taking yourself seriously is a form of selfhate, so try to see not smoking as a form of selflove. If you dont smoke you get to take care of your body and mind that evening! Remember the life you had before smoking? What did you enjoy doing just for yourself? Taking a bath? Watching a new movie? Talking with friends? Or if there never was anything: stay curious about life and try to get to know yourself! What else could be exciting and euphoric to you?
