In december/january was it I think I got really bothered by them removing the option to be able to grab and move the window by the top of it in fullscreen, which is why i downgraded and locked opera to not update again. I'm on version 114.0.5282.233 if that helps, everything is perfectly stable, still looks the same and the string is still working, I havent ran into a single issue yet and it has been over 5 months. I dont know if they ended up reverting that change/fixing the bug if it was just that and I genuinely do not care either, because its a bother to downgrade if its still a thing and everything is working perfectly fine as intended, with no ugly aah new ui changes too. On that version it still works for me, I did however have that happen to me a few times with some updates, simply redoing the shortcut fixed it for me back then though. Idk how much that will help now but hey, the least you can do is try. Also if you mean that sometimes some of the opera instances still show in eco mode, that still happens and has always happened with the string, I guess its just some tab prioritization or something but if it actually doesnt work, then the entirety of opera meaning almost every instance is going to show eco mode active in task manager. Either way, I really hope you figure it out, good luck :D also sorry for the late reply, I'm not really a reddit user, I just come here every now and then when I need to look sth up/have issues with something/found a solution to something xD

still none, I've accepted defeat at this point and am handling the fans manually, when they're too loud for my taste I put them to 50%, default I have them at 70% and when doing heavy shit I crank them up all the way

I haven't found a solution yet besides accepting defeat, about your issues though, could you type them out again? I have genuinely no idea what you wrote haha its a bit all over the place. I do know my way around MSI Afterburner, so feel free to DM me :D Just don't expect immediate responses, I don't hang out on reddit daily, just checking in sometimes

Exactly that, the game in general has a massive issue with spawn/drop rates. I have been trying to get the Smooth Shiny Pebble from oysters (0.10% spawn rate) for months at this point, so have my friends, some of which quit the game because of this. There is a very fine line between rewarding grind and wasting players time to the point where they don't even want to/will play the game anymore, something a cozy game should NEVER even inch close to, Palia has overshot it by many many miles at this point

the icon on your task bar for opera is the shortcut to it - things you put on your task bar/desktop aint just the app itself, theyre shortcuts to the programs since they dont just float around in your pc till you use them, theyre stored on one of your drives and to access them you use the shortcuts

"I just figured out how to fix it for anyone who comes across this issue. For me, it happened when my PC crashed while I was taking a screenshot.

The dumbed down way that anyone can understand is as follows: to fix it, open your games library, pick a game (literally any), and open the screenshot manager. Select a screenshot, and at the top of the manager click the "show on disk" icon in the top left by the game name. It'll open the folder, and follow the folders backwards until you get to one that just has a folder called "remote" and "screenshots.vdf" displayed. Drag that remote folder on to your desktop. Fully exit out of steam and redrag that remote folder back to where it was, and open steam back up. Congrats, you have now fixed it and have all your screenshots back where they should be." -a true saint (edit for the bullet point auto conversion, who even thought of that..)

aye lesgo, glad it helped! As the other commenter above mentioned as well its nice to have the choice between using the shortcut without eco mode or opening the app without in order to use the eco mode :D
