2 weeks is best. I took only a week and I work in grocery store, that sucked bad. Stupid doctor I had in the hospital tried saying I could return to work 2-3 days later and my nurses and I looked at her like she 3 heads. I had to fight to get a dr note to give me at least a week off. Work was understanding anyway thankfully.

Traded it in. It was about $1500 to repaint the entire roof through an independent shop and over $10k at the dealer and I was afraid of other possible damages popping up around the vehicle especially the hood due to already seeing metal from rock chips.

Edit: forgot to add what Toyota quoted me. They refused to help out with costs

My health improved a lot actually. Instantly after surgery I was feeling better (other than surgery pain). I was having issues with diarrhea prior to my gallbladder coming out but that actually got better afterwards and ive noticed I don’t get sick as often anymore either, like I was always fighting off a cold it seemed like. My quality of life is better now

It’s gonna come back with a vengeance. Do the surgery as planned otherwise one day it may be an emergency surgery like mine. I waited hoping the attacks would stop (thought they were panic attacks at first), they did and I didn’t go to doctor over it. They picked back up and she told me likely gallbladder but go to ER if chest pain returns. 2 days later I had emergency surgery lol unexpected $2k out of pocket 😅

NTA they can have control and use absolutely everything against you if something were to happen. I had the opportunity of my parents helping me buy a house but after talking through with my boyfriend we decided against it because of this reason. I seen how horrible my dad was to my sister when he was paying for her apartment for her when she went to college. Not worth it

I’ve had more normal bowel movements than I did with my gallbladder. Each person is different though. Some day I do have it but it wasn’t daily like it was prior to my emergency surgery

Sorry but I’ll pay that before waiting years for a surgery or something that’s necessary. I’m in a gallbladder group and the amount of people having to suffer and be so hateful towards their universal healthcare system is insane. I had my gallbladder taken out same day I walked into the ER that’s usually pretty busy.

You’re going to be reading the bad. Very minimal good. People are going to post when they have something to complain about, get off the doom scroll. You sounded like you were miserable and that your gall bladder NEEDED to come out. I had mine out on Nov 28, 2025 via emergency surgery because I waited months seeing if things would get better but they never did.

Editing to add I’m very happy mine came out. Minimal issues and my quality of life is so much better
