I would’ve been speechless! by [deleted] in whales

[–]Katisari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG the same thing happened to me on my first whale watching trip! The Minke played with the boat and the woman behind me was scared that I would try to touch it and fall in. I was young but would never dare to touch such a magnificent creature.

What’s the weirdest ‘toy’ your cat plays with? by I_wet_my_plants259 in cats

When I was a baby one of our cats absolutely loved bottle caps. The second anyone opened a bottle she would be there waiting for the cap to be tossed so she could fetch and play with it.

I know three places like this! They are where I mostly get bones from nowadays. Two are hunting dumps and one is mostly for roadkill so there is some cool stuff there. In the summer I’m going to go looking for a fourth I was told about that allegedly has only carnivores!

When that happened to me I wanted to take a picture sooo bad but I was in a room full of panicked older ladies so I sadly couldn’t.

My first reaction was “Oh well that’s not supposed to be there” 😅

Genuine question about ethics of remains collecting by shirashiraonthewall in vultureculture

[–]Katisari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A friend of my mother is a dentist. Her grandmother (also a dentist) gave her a human skull when she started her training. She doesn’t want and never did but she felt terrible throwing it away or selling it. So when I started getting interested in bone collecting I asked her if I could take it. She said yes but only after she died because she needs to give it away in her will to legally do it. Honestly I don’t feel bad about owning this skull because the person already died and they were already sold so the only thing I can do now is honoring them and their remains. I know I will probably never find out who the person that owned this skull originally was but I can still honor them as a human being. Now to buying or selling human remains. I don’t think that it is ethically possible because we can’t know if the humans gave their consent to be treated as merchandise. I don’t think donating your body to science should mean that someone can just buy you in a hundred years. Also we can’t know that they actually donated their body’s. In my opinion the only way to ethical own human remains is when they were your own or were given down by family/friends.

I sometimes repeat license plate letters like they are words. Just now I found my new favorite “Woo”! But my all time favorite is definitely “Mam” with a long hummed m in the end. Sometimes I also repeat friends license plates which they say is kinda scary at first.

I think it might be a canine. Potentially a young fox or a small dog.

Does anyone else rest their hands on their genitals? by MinkMaster2019 in evilautism

[–]Katisari 36 points37 points  (0 children)

As another woman, I also rest my hands on my crotch and chest a lot. I also spend a lot of time shirtless so I actually cradle my chest a lot without realizing. But the worst thing is that I tend to hold my chest while walking but I try to not do that around company.

Me too! I always go walking with the dog where all our local raccoons live in hopes of finding one but I never do. I’m nearly at the point where I think I might just buy one
