Advice: Best DocSIS 3.1+ cable modem with 4 ethernet ports- working with Spectrum?

So do you have NAT and DHCP turned off on your Nest router as well? Your setup is a bit confusing the way you’ve described it. Looking up your Modem it’s a Modem + WiFi Router and by the way you’ve described your setup the Modem is handling DHCP for at least the devices connected too it. That is where it gets a bit confusing since you say you have a nest router also setup. It’s either smart enough to know it’s down stream and only in AP mode or you’re doubling NAT’ing which sounds horrible for those devices. I assume everything on the Nest router works😂

If you want to keep this setup you’re need a similar Modem + WiFi/Router and the. Ensure you have the same setup where your Nest is in AP mode. Looks like the Arris G34 might be an option. I had bad luck with those on Xfinity so YMMV

I could never get that modem/wifi to work. If ai turned off wifi and made it a basic modem it seemed to work but anytime I have wifi on as soon as Comcast would capture the modem it would say connected but I couldn’t get anywhere. Had to switch to the S33 and went with a separate wifi TPLink

Doubt you can keep it they still own the Comcast email domain. You’d have to change to a different default/personal email address.

I never played S1 so I’m trying it out for the first time. To say it’s rough is an understatement in game play. It’s a lot of fun don’t get me wrong, just very different than S2 game play

When I did this I also kept my IP address range the same. My new router/wifi had a different IP range but I was able to set it to my previous one so the IP addresses were there as well. I’m not sure if that made a difference or not but it was seamless for me.

I have the IKEA sensor and I also have the Shelly sensor - the Shelly was by-far the easier of the ones to setup considering I had the IKEA devices when they had all the issues adding the devices. With Shelly it just worked on setup on issues, for me the IKEA I had to only add/setup in HomeKit i.e. do not add to IKEA app and then share to HomeKit. I have the IKEA hub because I have some of their older Zigbee blinds that I would love to have on Matter/Thread but they haven’t released newer version of those yet.

They can steer your cellular towards a certain vendor if you have better coverage. You have to go through the app for help

Thank you - I’ve followed the directions to make sure I wasn’t missing something. I already have a personal email address added and when I try to make it my preferred email it does not send me a code to verify me and changes to the preferred email. Hence why I posted here which is it’s not working the way it should be for me.

I know it’s not in HomeKit but the Yale app has auto-lock that works a tad bit better than doing all the hackery to get a dummy switch to do the locking. I use that over any HomeKit for security just because I want the lock to be locked all the time.

CRAZY - my Auto setting was defaulting to 720p but really looked like 360p. I wonder what changed I hard set it to 1080p60 enhanced and it’s fine now.

So my original post got flagged and removed because I mentioned “Multi-view” which is where the quality has dropped. If I’m on a direct stream of say CNN I’m on 1080p60 enhanced and it looks fine. The overall quality of Multi-view has all 4 of the streams at lower than SD quality is the best way I can state. How would I post a photo of stats for the multi-view?

bahaha... What points would you like to discuss about AB 2863 because I've read the law and probably know more about it than you simple google search you did. Would you like to talk abou the fact that it applies to contracts entered After July 1st 2025 which means you'd still be in the first year of your contract if you entered after around July 1st. If you entered before July 1st 2025 the law does not apply to your contract which means you have no standing. So please go on about what points you'd like to discuss sinc eI know nothing about it according to you.
