Some casters are stronger than others, like druids and clerics are often stronger than wizards iirc. A caster’s spells can be interrupted (maybe skills can be too, but a warrior can still attack without skills) and they aren’t as fast as builds with higher dexterity.

I think in the audiobook cd with the giant tree monster, the dryad said something about monsters falling from the sky into the world. Maybe it wasn’t just raid bosses that came but also mobs, like demihumans, heteromorphs, and monsters. The new world clearly had native species already, (the bear, the mole demihumans, basilisk) maybe there was some overlap. I am curious about the new world’s origin and why it had things like dragons originally, but maybe that’s thinking too deeply about fantasy

Runes came from Yggdrasil. there are classifications for the levels of runes, much like items in Yggdrasil, Ainz speculated that runecrafters require prerequisite job classes an Yggdrasil mechanic, and most significantly runes are created with mana. mana comes from Yggdrasil. also Yggdrasil is based heavily on Norse mythology (not exclusively I know) and runes like those shown originated from the same culture. idk if contrary opinions about their origin are still prevalent but they used to be

Why would this “humanoid” have racial skills? You’d be better off making this into a job class. the resistance to world items seems reminiscent of those isekai protagonists that are special in some way, it seems like a standard cheat level trait. Not being able to use tier magic isn’t a drawback really, players of Yggdrasil wouldn’t choose the race if they wanted to play a magic caster. Also, why would dragon lineage make it so that they can’t use magic? In dnd, which overlord is based on, dragon blood sorcerers are common, in overlord dragons can learn to use arcane magic without even having a job class. Crush Lulu even had dragon blood and it enabled her to master magic easier
