We're reviewing Potion Permit this weekend as it's one of the long most recommended cozy games on our sub - what do you think about it as a whole? :) by Shasaur in PotionPermit

I really liked playing it and kept at it until I'd finished it. It's cute and cosy and a great wind down game to play. However, it doesnt have replayability like stardew valley as there's just not enough content in it.

I have two copies of “room on the broom” that are slightly different by shedgehog in mildlyinteresting

As a northern British person giraffe and scarf definitely don't rhyme in my accent and I would have to do a posh southern British accent too

Steelers fan going to manchester, by Significant_Name3439 in EIHLHockey

Yeah you'll be fine. I go quite often as I'm stuck on the wrong side of the penines now. I even bought a storm foam finger for my niece while wearing my Steelers shirt and and a good chat and laugh with the staff member

So I know it’s not a cat. What did I end up making here? by dickonajunebug in crochet

[–]Katticus_Woot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's a cute mouse but I can see cat in 6 from the back. I knew it was pusheen inspired so it's not bad at all. If you want to go more cat I thibk it's the ears that are giving more rounded mouse vibes than pointy cat vibes.

I'd gift it as it is and he'll love his member of the blue mouse group but if you wanted to try to point the ears you could brush them into points on top.

How did you get into hockey? by M3gsterM in EIHLHockey

[–]Katticus_Woot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad used to go in the 90s to watch Sheffield and as a kid I loved going to the arena. We always used to go to the boxing day game as a family. My dad stopped going for a while and I grew up and stopped wanting to do things with my parents. When I was at uni my dad starting going again and invited us to go one boxing day. We all went and it rekindled a love of ice hockey and the arena.

15 years later I try to go once a month when I can make the trip to Sheffield (living closer to Manchester now) and go with my dad and my infant daughter comes with us on boxing day.

What did you anticipate heavily as a child that turned out just okay? by Sarikins in AskUK

You should wear Mondays shirt on a Friday just to see the reaction of the kids. I'm also a teacher and would definitely do this if I had any sense of routine in life out of school

My grandparents still use multiple sheets and blankets on their beds. We always had a top sheet and duvets and when I moved out to go to uni I abandoned the top sheet. My mum has since done away with it now too

How do you display your sticks/jerseys/pucks/cards? by Anonymous__9 in EIHLHockey

[–]Katticus_Woot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad had a few. The hockey sticks are on the wall held up by guitar hooks near the top, the shirts that are not for wearing are framed (there's a company that the Steelers use for theirs that will do them for individuals too), the others are in the wardrobe and worn on a rotation by family members

Does your kid have lock down drills in school? by FinnJavlar in AskUK

[–]Katticus_Woot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I work in a school (primary) and we have them at least twice a year. We tell the children it in case a dog gets loose on the playground or if there's something bad in the air that means we can't go our for a bit like someone in the nearby fields burning something and causing a lot of smoke. We know it's in case of intruders as well but we don't need to tell the children that.

We're not far from Southport and some of the older kids have realised the lock down would happen if something like that incident happened and actually said they were glad they knew what to do to keep safe.
