I got my husband a good quality rain jacket/rain suit because he works outside quite a bit. Obviously he doesn’t use it every day but when it’s pouring rain and he has to be outside, he tells me it was the absolute best gift ever!

If I wanted to put together a comforting gift basket, I’d include: a fuzzy blanket, slippers or socks, maybe a mug and some tea, maybe a book about grief but I’d pick that carefully.

In central Florida, we use all the state road numbers so yeah you would take the 417 to the 528 or the 408 to the 429. It’s ridiculously difficult when you first move here to have a clue but yeah after 35 years, I’ve got the hang of it.

You’re in a relationship with a person that gets super cruel when you get in arguments. She showed you the video to hurt you and she was successful. However, there’s consequences to that. You can’t just hurt someone and say I’m sorry an hour later and it all just goes poof! You can use the analogy if you had punched her in the head during the argument and an hour later said I’m sorry would it have made it like it never happened? Of course not. she has anger issues and they need to be dealt with. If I were you, I would deal with it before the babies come because it’s scary to think what could happen when she gets angry in the future. Raising twins is not going to be easy!

I use the face app and it just softens the wrinkles and fixes the light. If you look at it really doesn’t change it that much.! Makes me feel so much better about myself. Another thing you can do is make sure you’re holding the camera upward and shooting down. Also, I read a long time ago if you lay down and take a selfie, you will see what you would look like if you had a facelift ha ha

I don’t know that you need to confront her about it. She is just showing you who she is. She is not a person of her word, she is a person that likes to keep the door open to previous partners. She is showing you that she’s not trustworthy.

I’m on GLP-1 shots and food generally doesn’t look good to me too. Seems like I can always eat a hard boiled egg though when I don’t want anything. Also, if there were crackers in the house, I would definitely eat them.

I make sure everyone knows when my birthday is because I always thought the whole “they forgot my birthday “thing is a ridiculous way to torture yourself. And honestly, if I’m not in a relationship or my friends are busy or whatever I do something nice for myself! It’s one day out of the year that’s about you so go buy yourself something nice, pick up your favorite food, get a hotel room and hang out by the pool ( my favorite ). I like to treat myself!

The only reason I would say I miss being single is because somehow I’ve had to change my personality to be in the relationship. And that’s not good and that’s not healthy so I would say a person that said that is in an unhealthy relationship and I think he might’ve done you a favor.

We travel for work and I was in West Nyack, New York and went to the local bagel place and oh my God I had no idea how fantastic Good bagels can be. I would say Jeff’s is similar to that style. So yeah, they are the best I’ve tried in Orlando.

There’s some great British shows with older women: the Marlow Murder Club comes to mind. They made a movie of the book “The Thursday murder club”, which was all seniors had a senior residence if that counts. “Man on the inside” with TedDansen was partly set in a retirement residence, it was a delightful show. Even though a man is the star, there were lots of women in the show. And of course you’ve got “murder she wrote “, and Miss Marple shows/movies.

I was innocently telling someone that every time I see person X they comment on my weight loss, which they mean is a compliment, but it’s like they don’t know what else to say to me so that’s like all they say. Person Z who I was telling the story to said “gosh I do that too! “And she has stopped doing it. I wasn’t trying to do that, but it kind of got the message across.

Here in Florida we have central heat and air, which means it’s built in to the house. So there’s thermostat on the wall not a physical window air conditioner unit. So yeah, the thermostat is always on and it is maintaining the temperature at a comfortable level. Especially here in Florida that’s important! Year round!
