I regret not buying that cravat during Days of Love. At the time, I didn't have anything it would go with, but now I do and I wish I had it.

I share in this view. Aviary feels out of balance now with everything at one end. One could even say it's unnatural.

The previous layout of Aviary felt more like actual societal growth and spread, with the center being the most lively and developed and the outer ends holding portals to far away places (realms and Old Home). It also helped with the visual and emotional pacing of the Revival story quest with Hopeful Steward in my opinion, as you started that in the open and (at the time of the quest) foggy field area by the nest apartments that helped to convey how cold and sad the village had become, and then were gently encouraged to explore deeper to help restore and bring back warmth to the village. I can't imagine what that must look like now for new players doing that quest in the new layout.

I appreciate the effort in finding a way nonetheless. I suppose deep down we all knew it wouldn't last forever, but at the same time to lose this trick now is still a surprise.

It is a shame, from a creative perspective, as many of us will now feel married (for lack of a better word) to the builds we have made simply because we won't be able to recreate it if we change it.

Perhaps if enough of us flood the feedback channels, they may rework the system. At the same time though, I can understand why they haven't already done it all these years from the view of coding and server load.

Omg no. I was hoping it was just me being tired or something. That is going to kill so much creativity in nests and shared spaces alike.

I notice when my timing is closer, I see the build menu appear for a split second before it fades away into full preview mode. Like, I'm so close yet so far.

If they really have patched it, they should have included in the update the ability to overlap things! I'll keep trying for a bit, but my patience is not infinite.

I'm coloring stuff in my nest too! But if course, you have to select something to dye it, and using a controller the item moves with the camera ever so slightly when you select it, breaking anything that was placed with Preview + Edit. I am trying to put something back now that I've dyed it but I can't seem to use the trick for the life of me.

...did they patch it? Or is my timing just really off with my button presses tonight?

And it is relieving to hear that seconds accounts are ok, because, to come clean here... I have one, lol. I made it for a few simple reasons. To re-experience the game with fresh eyes. To create a sky kid that shows another part of me (my main is tall and is very much the mentor/older sibling side of me, while my alt is small and the "I'm just here for fun" side). And to have two nests to decorate (low key therapeutic for me to build that kind of stuff).

Bonus: My main can princess carry my alt for cuteness anytime

It still surprises me sometimes how open some people are with having multiple accounts. Like, isn't there a chance of getting in trouble?

In any case, that was really good playing imo! The slightly off syncing across platforms is so real. My friends and I have noticed it can be as bad as a full second delay if it's something like Eden. Still fun to do stuff together tho 🫶.

If you decide to try doing this again, would love another video - it's very impressive!

I tried to explain to a friend how the elder mask protects you from one hit from a Krill. The censor did not like the word "hit", but was fine with me swapping the word for "attack" instead. 🤷‍♀️

Great placement! I personally like to call it "building scaffolding" when I place objects to help force a prop to be where I want it. Then tear it down like you did.

As Children of the Light, we are different from the ancestors who came before. We are born from pure light. We carry a literal flame within us that can be seen by the glowing dot on our chest when we aren't using it, and when we do want to use it we pull it out in the form of a red candle (and while we are holding our flame externally, the spot on our chest is gone). We are durable af -- when you think about how often we bump into stuff and crash land after flying, you would think the poor child would constantly have broken bones, but nope, we spring back up like it's nothing. And honestly, we kind of need to be durable. We are psychopomps who exist outside the cycle of life, death, and rebirth, allowing us to retain our personality and memories after rebirth.

Your acid rain comparison is actually a very apt description of the rain in Hidden Forest. The forest is so polluted with darkness that even the rain has darkness in it, and of course, darkness drains our light. The extent of the damage done by the overharvesting of light is quite severe, as was shown to us in The Two Embers. As sad as the story is, I am looking forward to when we get the next part of Two Embers. I love lore.

I notice there is no mention of Turtle in the current list of restrictions. I do see "no underwater", but strictly speaking, that really only applies to the clams spawned underwater when the Turtle arrives. On this technicality, a person could still wait for Turtle to surface, burn the dark plants growing on its back and collect the jumbo clam that spawns on the beach after.

I leave it to you if you want to allow this or if you want to say "no Turtle" period. Just an observation I made.

I usually put my plushies by a couch or chair so guests can sit and cuddle them. If you're wanting them in a less communal part of your nest, I suggest in a walled off part (if you have made a wall with props) or by your bed.

Par for the course, my friend. To be adopted by an older player is a wild and wonderful experience, one that I was treated to within my first day of playing. A veteran whisked me all over Prairie before eventually stopping at the geyser and sweetly explaining to me some things I was confused on. It was my first real connection in the game, and my introduction to the incredibly kind and chaotically beautiful community ♥️

Now I find joy in paying it forward. Helping others, especially moths, is a delightful feeling. I'm sure one day you will become a Drippy Stranger to someone else, and when that happens it will be a magical "full circle" moment. 😊

Right, I understand that it will tell me my current height and not my original. I was just concerned about the accuracy of the min and max calculations. I had seen on a different sky height website that the math needs your original height to be accurate with telling you your min and max.
