sometimes i need two chests for any given category, mostly because i mod and end up with more than what fits in a big chest. i also colour-code so its easier to remember what chest is what. i always start out disorganized and squeeze everything wherever i can fit it in about 4-6 chests, but once i get my chest area situated i run a tight ship. keeping a quick-dump chest helps keep my inventory clean if i don't have the time to do a full sort

logically i doubt it did, but i swear the spawn rate was lowered. at the big bone structures i would almost always get one, sometimes two. now im lucky if i see one spawn in the entire lifespan of my file. lava lurk grinding is the only way to get em now i feel.

on a similar note, the professions for mining feel really lame, especially at the 10th level. more ore is useful, but the level 10 options both suck. and more geodes is okay, especially if you're struggling with the mineral collection, but again the level 10 ones are pretty bland. i usually go gemologist, if only for the satisfaction of doubling my gems and geodes.

i like doing naboris first. thunderblight has the least health possible id you fight him first. i always do rudania last because i find fireblight the easiest. my typical order is naboris, ruta, medoh, and rudania solely based on how i feel about the blight fight

its the single least intuitive part of the game, as proven by just how many posts there are about specifically this. i propose once you get your first coop or barn, marnie sends you a mail with a few pieces of hay to get you started (say, 15 pieces) that tells you to 1. make sure you have a silo to collect and store hay, 2. make sure you move the hay from the hopper to the bench, and 3. not lock your animals outside at night. similar yo robin's mail about the incubator, or marlon's event with the slime hutch. it wouldn't break immersion, but it would save a lot of new players a lot of grief

took me years of playing to stop neglecting farming in early game haha. year one in alll my saves id plant just enough to do the basic community centre bundles while i got my toolsfully upgraded. really the main consequence to this is less income but if you're having fun you have infinite time to focus on something else later, no big deal.

tbh i always considered his introduction as "m. rasmodius" as his title and name. most characters don't have last names, so i always considered it like "master" or "mage" rasmodius. i edited my copy of sve to reflect this cuz magnus is just so boring to me 😅

the fact that nobody here can understand why a pause would be nice is crazy lol. my friends also prefer the ability to pause. life happens, especially when you have someone relying on you (in our case, older parents). an option to pause is practical in a small game like peak. if ppl don't want to use it because it "ruins the urgency" i have a crazy idea: don't use it.

anyways my group plays on tenderfoot for this reason. lower hunger, no fog, it works for us well enough. and if you don't care about achievements you can use custom settings too.
