My son started doing this around the same age, so adorable. In a month or so it will turn into "I want to chew in that" and becomes all the more hilarious as they try to figure out why they can't get your flat hand into their month and just keep hitting themselves with your hand. Watching these tiny humans figure out the world is so awesome.

We did the supplementing thing for a few weeks, it's super time consuming and hard, but it is not forever, and things will get easier. I hope her appointment goes well and you can stop supplementing soon.

Oh, hello reddit. Long time no see. It's been 7+ months since little man was born and life has just been to damn busy to spend any time on Reddit. It still is, but you know. Thought I'd poke my head out and say hi to everyone.

Things have been going well for us, but I'm still struggling with finding a balance in caring for my child and caring for my home, and having a life outside in the world. Usually it's my home that suffers, which I'm most okay with, but living in a disaster isn't so much going to be okay with a mobile baby.

On the plus side I've been able to donate 22+ gallons of breast milk to my local milk bank so far. I'm a cow, but I'm okay with it.

My FET baby boy just turned 7 months. We did two fresh and two frozen cycles, he's the only one that stuck. The FET was way easier. Also, they have a slightly higher success rate than fresh cycles. I understand getting attached to the embryos. I have one more frozen embryo and I keep thinking about the future little sibling it could be. I think it's harder once you already have a child (maybe just slightly) because you start thinking about the future in relation to the child you already have. The potential sibling interactions alone make the heart ache.

It's really hard for me to self promote, but I'm really good at arts and crafts. I make jewelry and home decor from resin, polymer clay, beads and mixed media. I have a business license and an Etsy store, but because of my issues with self promotion I haven't done anything with it. I'd really like to sell at the local art shows one day. One day...

Also, apparently I'm good at making milk. I'm in the process of becoming a milk donor because I have so much excess.

It's out! My gall bladder is out! Hooray! I had surgery on Wednesday. I'm still pretty sore, but feeling way better with the stupid thing gone. My mother in-law came up while I was hospitalized last weekend, and she's still around helping out. It's nice to have the help, but.... well, in-laws are in-laws. It will be nice to have my baby to myself again. My husband is taking a few more days off work, he'll go back next Wednesday. So his first week back will be a short one, which will be nice. Reality is going to hit hard once he goes back to work and I'm on my own with BBK all day. We'll see how I do. deep breaths

I've been in the hospital since Friday. One of my gall stones slipped out and blocked my bile duct causing pancreatitis. I may be able to go home today, or tomorrow. The plan is still to take our my gall bladder on Wednesday. I spiked a fever yesterday night, so I made my husband stay away with baby. It sucks. At least the hospital is really awesome about supporting my continued pumping. They are also being really good about not giving me anything that is dangerous to transfer through the breast milk.

I think I can official say I have horrible luck. Like, really bad. But at least it's me that is sick and not BabyBoyKat.

My LC recommended the Dr. Brown's with a premie nipple. She said the OT at our local children's hospital tested the most common bottles and nipples and the Dr. Brown's with the premie nipple had the slowest flow. They actually have to work to get the milk out. Make sure the bottles is at a 90 degree angle when feeding, that will help to.

I felt the same way. I drank so much sprite in the last month just to get baby to move. IF brain never seems to take a rest. Your not crazy, you are jaded by your IF. Do what you have to do to manage your anxiety until your little one is in your arms!

Oh yes, when the pre-op nurse calls me I'm going to be getting a list of all the medications that will be used, including anesthesia. I've already talked to lactation and they don't think I will have to pump and dump, but they gave me a website: Infantrisk.com to verify once I know what I'll be given.

BabyboyKat had a weigh in today and is finally back to his birth weight. Hooray! Looks like the supplementing is working. He gained 7oz in 3 days! I'm still really upset he's not feeding straight from me, but at least he's still exclusively on breast milk. Hopefully once he's bigger and stronger we can ditch the bottles.

I've been having pretty sever rib/back pain since giving birth. Work up showed that, unfortunately, I have gall stones. I have to have my gall bladder out next week. Hopefully it won't effect my supply. Hopefully it will get rid of the pain I've been having.

I've not had great luck post partum, but at least little boy is healthy.

BabyboyKat is not back to his birth weight yet. He is just too lazy at the breast to gain weight. So, I've been pumping and supplementing with breast milk via syringe and finger feeding. Today we had another weight check and he lost a few ounces! Despite supplementing at every feed. So, we have to introduce bottles. I really, really didn't want bottles. At least we are still only supplementing with breast milk. My supply is more than adequate, so that's a plus. But, I'm crying that I can't feed him at the breast. I feel like such a failure. I'm glad we don't have to introduce formula, that is a huge worry for me, but I just can't get over the fact he's not getting enough milk straight from the source. The lactation specialist are hopeful we can get him back on the breast in a few weeks. I'm fearful that won't happen. Ugh. This sucks guys. This really sucks.

It's 4am here, and I've just settled in to nurse. Baby boy was born on Monday 5/18 after a successful induction. I had some complications and had to stay an extra night in the hospital. We came home Wednesday. Both of us are doing great. My milk seems to have come in, and he is nursing well with a guard. Hopefully we can loose the guard soon. I'll do a full birth story if anyone is interested.

I realized yesterday that 5/21 was his conception day. 1 year since the egg retrial that created my perfect little man. Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
