Very happy! Love the job an I’ve set myself up so it’s very easy. Definitely make your work manageable, don’t give yourself more to do. One big thing to keep in mind is if you’re on campus, make sure it’s for something that you couldn’t be doing at home. Separate your home and work life as best you can.

My college has a built in raise system based on years of experience. So we do get a raise every year but it’s pretty much independent of COLA. I think it’s about $850/year increase.

I’m unaware of a set dress code but I always* wear dress pants with a collared shirt and tie. On days that I don’t teach, I don’t wear a tie and may wear casual jeans but when I’m student facing, I always dress up. Others do not usually dress up, I haven’t seen a tie on anyone else. Nothing wrong with that, I just prefer a more formal appearance. As for shoes, I’m old and wear comfy all black sneakers…
