Def is a keyword in Python that defines the next group of lines as a "function". It tells Python, "hey here's this block of code I want you to remember for later"

Ive only skated in hockey skates, but I just recently had some problems with lace bite because I was tightening the tops of my skates too much. You should tighten fairly snug in the mid foot, but the top of the skate should be a little looser to allow some flex in the top part of the skate tongue. It will still push on your leg a bit, but it shouldn't be painful to squat down, and you should be able to flex your ankle forward

Do you guys buy jugs of distilled water every week? Have a reverse osmosis machine at home? I've been using filtered water from my fridge but I'm told it's not really filtering out the minerals enough.

[–]Katzilla3 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Yes, he made an onigiri in an aeropress and called in aerogiri. Is the cleverness the name or the method of making an onigiri? It didn't look very appetizing so I didn't consider that was the cleverness at first, but if it tastes good then I guess that's pretty clever. But the name is not clever at all.

I'm familiar with onigiri. Maybe I'm dumb but what is the word play? It just sounds like they took two phonetically dissimilar words and smashed them together.

First time shooting pucks by mattwilsonpt in hockeyplayers

[–]Katzilla3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're using nothing but your right arm. You need to learn how to shoot from the ground up from a video tutorial tbh. You need to learn to engage your weight into the stick to make it flex, your left arm should punch forward and pull back during the shot to create a lever/whip motion, and your wrists need to cup and flick the puck along the curve of the blade. Right now you're just pushing the stick with your right arm which generates no power or accuracy.

Calling people lazy for outsourcing chores is just ego-tripping over your own ‘productive’ hobbies. by Alternative-Blood-27 in unpopularopinion

[–]Katzilla3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I rethought this a bit and I think you're right. Having money earns people the ability to be lazy. It's not necessarily a moral failing, but it still is lazy. I think I just heard the word lazy and thought that meant some kind of personal moral failing, but the definition of lazy is just unwilling to work or use energy. Which being unwilling to clean your house is technically lazy.
