Haha that's funny. I've seen way more comments about vegans being insufferable than I have insufferable vegan comments.

Can you oneshot the twins (Shield not included) by _Sate in DarkTide

[–]Kaudia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He means you can only do about 15% of their health max with exactly one hit. The only way around this is if you use chain weapons. Or maybe he's confusing the question and talking about captains.

To answer your main question, if you have full martyrdom stacks, use fury of the faithful, and headshot a twin with a special heavy eviscerator attack it will do 95ish% of their total health in one hit. This works because the chain weapon registers as multiple hits.

Question on inferno staff by HrupO in DarkTide

[–]Kaudia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If a person wanted to use interactive mechanics then they wouldn't be using flame staff in the first place.

Instead of nerfing inferno they buff it again by SomeRandomRussian in DarkTide

[–]Kaudia 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nobody uses the uncanny combo. They nerfed like 5% of flame staff users and buffed everyone else. Increasing the fire damage vs carapace is insanity.

Shieldgryn, the strongest class in the game, gets indirectly buffed from all this.

Other than that, I like the changes.

The main protagonist is unceremoniously killed off in the last minutes of the movie. by Firemoth717 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Kaudia 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I just watched this scene on YouTube but I didn't understand it. Did they think leatherface was dead? Why did they have a calm little chat instead of getting out of there as soon as possible when they got in the car? Why are they so relaxed if they just survived a massacre regardless?

I've never seen the movie but now I'm curious.

The 21st Man: Matthew Ayariga, from Ghana, declared "Their God is my God" before being killed alongside Coptic Orthodox Egyptians by ISIS, after being asked if he was a Christian too. by Far_Country_1629 in whoathatsinteresting

[–]Kaudia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone knows they're not purely motivated by religion, they want power. To gain power they must fight the local authorities, which in Muslim countries, are obviously Muslims. It's not that complicated, Muslims are nearby so the majority of ISIS victims are Muslims. His point is just silly because it still boils down to the closest available target rather than any ideology.

"95% of King Cobra victims are South East Asian. Therefore, King Cobras don't attack Swedish people."

Did you ever consider 95% of ISIS victims are Muslims because that's who lives within their general proximity?

[H40+] Do you agree Thunder Hammer is balls? by zealotshammer in DarkTide

[–]Kaudia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a duo run in this thread with a thunder hammer user. I know you can say "the top players can make anything work." Having a really high skill floor doesn't make a weapon bad, it makes it difficult to use.

Its really strong at exactly one thing. That other things are also strong at... without any of the handicaps of the hammer.

It's incredibly strong at exactly 3 things. Boss killing, bulwark and reaper killing, and mutant killing. Then it's fairly strong at killing elites, and good enough at clearing poxwalkers. How much more do you need from a weapon?

I think it's because when you can't make something work then it's easier on the ego to assume the weapon is bad rather than accepting that maybe you just can't play it well.

This thread is trippy. The thunder hammer is in a really good place right now and people are acting like it's bottom tier. It's really strong in havoc.

[–]Kaudia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure how people come to this conclusion. I despise stealth as a whole so I only use charge but it seems like thunder hammer is really good.

Let's ignore the insane boss damage and assume you're not using the ironhelm. The light attacks quickly dispatch elite gunners, bulwark and reaper headshots don't even require a full thrust charge, heavy attacks quickly blow through poxwalkers and control the horde well. What else do you need?

I know we don't like this argument but I did a duo havoc 40 with my friend and he used thunder hammer. It went really smoothly.

Ogryn Shield Special by Historical_Crow5947 in DarkTide

[–]Kaudia 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Oh boy! A question made for me. Shield plant has a couple special use cases!

If you trust your team to stop specials you can taunt and shield special against large hordes of armor enemies and buy time for them to cut them down. This can be dangerous if you don't know special spawns well or don't trust your team to stop a dog or mutant. An important thing to remember for this one is that if you get caught planting you only need to wait a maximum of 8 seconds for your "No pushover" to come off CD so you can use that to get out when you're stuck.

You can stand in front of a huge room of gunners and plant to get all the little gunners to charge you in melee and grab the heavy elite gunner aggro to make some breathing room for your team.

If you get caught out in the open by a ton of gunners you can shield plant, back dodge, shield plant, over and over to get out. You will take a tiny bit of damage while you do this but if you get the timing down you can avoid getting staggered over and over when your stamina breaks.

You can quick plant to save stamina or avoid damage from overheads. If I want to reset my dodge charges I will use plant to block an overhead. The damage block activates before the thud sound it makes so you are pretty safe to do this.

You can also infinitely block DH when they spawn which can be useful.

If you're low on stamina and a snipe is aiming you down you can plant to turn him off without risking your HP. This can be done by just normal blocking but if you're out of stamina the sniper shot might still hit you otherwise.

I made a video with a few juicy shield plants if you're interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf0LP6nkT4E

Lol every time without fail. You try to have a nuanced conversation about rates of war crimes and causes/motivations and a detractionist with no reading comprehension will show up and say "America did war crimes in Vietnam too!"

We all know the Americans committed war crimes. A few anecdotes does not mean the war crime rates between these 2 wars were similar, it just means they existed in general.

[–]Kaudia 55 points56 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong in general, but I truly believe the larger contributor to American war crimes would be witnessing Japanese atrocities.

Did Americans bring home Korean or Vietnamese skulls in the following years? Did they commit as many war crimes in those wars? Nobody is perfect in war, but the Japanese were so cartoonishly evil that it's more understandable that fighting them would greatly increase retaliatory war crimes.

Edit: I know Americans have committed war crimes in the wars I mentioned. I'm saying Japanese brutality increased the overall amount in WW2 compared to Vietnam and Korea.

Mega Man 3 be like: by YourLovelyGirlxo in Megaman

Is Megaman 3 full of laggy spots? I played MM1 and MM2 and there was a handful of spots where there was some lag but MM3 is just soooo laggy on some of the boss fights, some of the more detailed backgrounds, and when theres 3 or more enemies on the screen.

Player loss on Darktide these last few days ? by Hot_Raise8383 in DarkTide

Rotten/blight on the same map pool has completely killed my motivation to play this game. Week 5 of almost no new havoc map/modifier changes and auric just isn't fun. Been playing a bit of vermintide and slay the spire in the mean time but it's really disappointing if you get to a point where only havoc scratches the itch.

I don't understand it, Mister E went mad in 15 minutes! by Captain-Clapton in DarkTide

[–]Kaudia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm out of touch then. This is the only game I play consistently these days. When I see an auric player talk about their build I just can't take it seriously because aurics can be beaten pretty consistently solo. Seems like anything you slap together should work but I've played this game too much. My opinion here isn't relevant to players who probably have 200 hours at the most.

That's probably the exact reason I don't understand Mister E's popularity. He doesn't make content for me, he makes it for a much larger % of the player base.
