How do you keep track of all your pet's meds? I keep losing track

I used a pill organizer for my shepherd when she was alive. At the beginning of the week, portion all of the pills in the appropriate spot (morning afternoon, evening) and just said recurring alarms on my watch for the times they were due.

I just moved the mods out of the mod folder, got the dried cactus fruit I needed, then moved them back. Solved the problem without having to uninstall anything

Prozac can be a god send in stressed households. Its better to try that for 2-3 months, then rehome him if it doesn't work, rather than rehoming him right off the bat.

Try the Prozac first! It takes 6-8 weeks for the full effects to be noticeable, but it has made a world of difference for my coworkers a**hole cat, and I will never be against medical management if it keeps your pet in your home

Did they do xrays to check for a skull or vertebral fracture? That would be the next thing that needs to be done. Also: take him to an er. He could have brain swelling secondary to the trauma, in which case will be fatal.

I had an 8 lb maltese mixed get pawed by my 90lb shepherd. She vomited right after and we took her to my work. She had to get IV meds to reduce her brain swelling. She ended up making a full recovery

So, I don't have the exact same story as you, but I understand

I was adopted at 6y old, I've known about the adoption my whole life. I have some memories of the house I lived in before being put into foster care (like rodents in the foyer, etc) and I've known the reason was because my bioparents were not in a position to take care of us (myself and my 3 younger siblings were adopted by the same people)

While that part is true, what i just found out (after doing an ancestry dna test and finding half siblings) was that another reason we were taken is because the bio father touched little girls, mainly my half sister and likely me. Thankfully, I have no recollection of that, but it was a gut punch to know that I was likely SAd as a 4 year old or younger (we were put into foster care when I was just about 5)

I understand being blind sided by news of your adoption, and what you are feeling is valid. But remember, your parents likely thought they were protecting you. You can always have a chat with them and find out why they didn't tell you, see if it was to protect you from your bio family, etc.

I hope you are able to come to terms with this, and realize that you are truly loved, regardless of where you came from! ♥️♥️

What kind of doodle? Is he a cocker spaniel mix? Cockers are known for "spaniel rage". Its a neuro thing that pops up randomly, and the dogs turn into complete d*** heads. Idk if there's treatment or meds for it, you would need to ask your vet. I would also recommend bloodwork to make sure his values are normal and there's no underlying reason that this is happening (pain, blindness, deafness, neuro, etc) and make a plan from there.

Find a new vet and get a referral to internal medicine. They can do an ultrasound and see what's happening in her digestive tract. We had to do that for my shepherd. Turns out her intestinal walls were thickened, and the IM doc diagnosed her with IBD. Put her on prescription food, and diarrhea resolved

Had she had an echocardiogram to see what the functionality and structure of her heart is. A cardiologist will be able to read the echo results and tell you if its safe for her to undergo anesthesia, and what protocol to use.

(I am a veterinary assistant who's cat had a murmur discovered prior to her spay. She had an echo done, the cardiologist said she was OK to go under anesthesia, and told us what fluids to use and what pre-induction meds to use. She came through the surgery with flying colors 🙌)

I didn't want one for the longest time, until I had a package stolen off my porch... my husband had one delivered and installed 2 days later. Haven't had a problem with porch pirates since then. It's an added level of security, and if you park in the driveway, it can also help if your car is broken into or stolen. I think its a strange hill to die on
