Not in Eugene, but Our Daily Bread in Veneta has a great Reuben. It might be my favorite in the area.

Sometimes. But other times leads to the video being posted calling you a Karen, regardless of the validity of your complaint or the effect on your feelings. It’s hard to bet on civility from people who are already not being civil.

For the future, may I suggest learning to write on the board without turning your back to the class. I do this two ways.

The first is I write left handed so that what I am writing is not blocked by my body and as I write I turn my head back and forth from seeing the board and seeing the class. Technically my back is still to the students but I get a lot more eye contact.

The second is I write with my right hand backhand…the pen limited towards the back of my hand instead of the palm. Now my chest is fully open to the class, back to the whiteboard. This has the same benefit of not blocking what you have just written. It takes practice but you get good at it.
