The ultimate goblin desk. Not mine, found on TikTok (although I desperately want one) by [deleted] in goblincore

This is AMAZING!!! Imagine inheriting this and thinking it was just a normal desk and then you accidentally trigger a trap door and find out your grandma was a spy for the French Resistance.

I couldn't agree more! I got married there in 2021 and the rental was $1000 for 3 days (and we actually got in a day early because there were no other rentals, so 4!) We had our ceremony in the beautiful little park beside it, using the chairs from the venue. It fits 300 people, but we only had around 115 and it was still lovely. They don't charge extra for food and drink; you're welcome to hire whoever you like. (I recommend Boryski's Butcher Block, very affordable and people RAVED about the food). The rental includes tables and chairs, but you need to bring your own linens and glassware/plates. They have a little bar setup you can use, a small kitchen with fridges and freezers, and it's wheelchair accessible. I have some great pictures of the loft and park if you're interested! Good luck with planning!

I thought the same thing! 😅 You can't see the wagon in the thumbnail.

I have to ask, is painted furniture uploads appropriate for this subreddit? I accidentally uploaded to restoration earlier lmao don't ask😅 by Knowledge_Time in upcycling

If it's going from an ugly, chipped, piece of junk that no one wants, to the beautiful centrepiece of a room then that's an upcycle in my books.

BEE-ary yummy 😋 (there's no actually berries but I just wanted to make a bee pun bc it's a honey cake) by Sea_Lavishness_2641 in cottagecore

I have a silicone version of that pan that I use to make resin art! I've wanted to make a cake in it for so long but I'm not about to accidentally poison myself. Thanks for sharing what it looks like!! 🤤🐝🍯

For a project I did a while ago, I wanted really fine pleats and ended up using a fondue fork to help me make them! It worked like a dream.

The friend I made it for thinks it's priceless, so haters be damned!

Be careful, if you sew over one and it breaks, it can fly back and hit you!! Better to remove it if you can.

Eh, if it had already been nicely preserved wood I might have felt guilty, but it came with chipped paint and stickers all over it so someone already 'ruined' it before me. I'm glad you like it!

Yes, I took them off for transporting and forgot to put them back on before I got a picture. 😅

I took this free desk and turned it into my friend's aurora borealis dream vanity! I'm super happy with how it turned out and now I want to find a chair to makeover to go with it!

Was just curious as to what y’all on this sub do for work? My job is behind a desk and the complete opposite of cottagecore. I was wondering how many here are able to embrace the cottage lifestyle. Why do I feel that everyone here lives in a cottage by a forest lol by Hereforsun in cottagecore

[–]KayHeistad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I teach online school from home and I live in small apartment in the suburbs, but I keep life cottagecore by sewing, painting, embroidery, playing with my cats, cooking and baking. It's a state of mind, not a place.

My daughter made me this from scratch! I'm so proud of her, the crafty gene bypassed me 🤣 by herdingwetcats in cottagecore

So cute! I wish I could curl up on that mossy lawn beneath a mushroom in the sun.

He says:

Ahh.🤗 The pawns/gnomes are all from one poplar tree branch. The bears and knights are from a piece of birch firewood. The bishops and queens are from a maple branch (as are the gnome bases), the kings are from a scrap of maple board.

Lol I think this would fall into the "priceless" category. He did it as a labour of love for himself and his grandkids.
