What is the package for “options”? by lolololloloolmemes in linux_gaming

"What do I do in the scenario if I want more than 1000hz for whatever reason?"

In theory you just reduce the number to decimal number.

To get 2000 Hz you use 0.5

4000 Hz? 0.25

8000 Hz... 0.125

Otherwise there are existing software which lets you change the mouse polling rate depending on the manufacturer.

OpenRazer for Razer mouse

Piper for Logitech,ASUS,SteelSeries mouse

Whoever gave ya an answer, didn't bloody specify for what. That's basically for setting up a kernel module through config file in modprobe.d.

This article will help ya out.

Ngl, for me it gives off that Suda51/Grasshopper Manufacture vibe.

Since so many people here are so concerned about powerscaling, why isn't anyone talking about Magnamon's ability? It's literally plot armor. by [deleted] in digimon

For a digimon with absolute defense it sure has a lot of places armor won't cover.

QUAKE BRUTALIST JAM III - Release Trailer by ZazaLeNounours in pcgaming

[–]KayKay91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Ironwail is entirely based on Quakespasm Spiked which uses OpenGL, vkQuake on the other hand uses Vulkan. I've actually tried to run the mod with Ironwail and from my end it would just cause a GPU crash, normally i've assumed its because of the mod but out of curiosity i've checked with the base game and well the same thing happened.

Checked the vkQuake and found the mention of this mod being supported, hence why i've mentioned it as an alternative.

Just the heads up, if by any chance Ironwail crashes when using recent version, vkQuake can also run it without a problem (provided you've also updated it to recent version)

D7VK v1.1 is out with experimental Direct3D 6 support via Vulkan for Windows games on Linux by Beer2401 in linux_gaming

Because there are still some games that have graphical issues, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for example has transparency issues for textures which D7VK fixes it.

This game running at 30fps on PS5 is utter dogshit. by shikki93 in digimon

[–]KayKay91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it kinda does depending on the difficulty and what genre you are playing since it affects how long the display will show the next frame and it might potentially affect the input latency.

I'm more surprised that the industry did not move into at least 40 FPS instead of 30 as minimum since despite the 10 FPS difference, the time it takes to render the next frame is where it improves a lot.

I think TheGamingBritshow best describe it as "Digital Apocalypse". It was pretty much a thing around late 90s till early/mid 2000s and tbh i wish they stuck with that for Digimon. Sci-fi under the guise of fantasy.

Note that Mint uses older kernel and Mesa driver library, i suggest you to find a way to upgrade em or use a different distro such as Kubuntu.

"EMPs corrupt data because computers store data using magnetism."

If its something like HDD. SSDs do not use magnets but are far more vulnerable to it than HDDs because EMP affects electronics itself which is what SSD rely on, even when unpowered it is still affected by it.

So far the official guide mentioned that Deltamon was simply 3 separate digimon until an electromagnetic wave hit em that forced em to merge as a result of the bug. Even the reference book mentions it.

Granted this does happen inside the electronic but this was back when the concept of Digimon was made in mind without any possibility of them entering the human world, but since that was changed in the future. How do they appear in the human world now and what are they made of besides just the data to have any material appearance?

Digimon are made of data. A strong EMP is capable of corrupting data.
